Do you think that being able to earn rads in conjunction to paid rads will help eleviate the pay to win argument.
Earned rads vs pay to win argument
Huh forums cant sensor words in a poll i guess. And yes its supposed to be real not ream cant edit poles
Who knows…it was never pay to win in the first places so idiots may still call it pay to win.
Most of whats sold is cosmetic , my gripe was always the prices charged , can’t remember what “special edition” 1 off was on sale but I bought fallout 4 for cheaper , fair enuff was in a steam sale but still.
Stupid people are stupid
It’s always someone else’s fault that they suck
Somehow
The game is already so far from P2W that it doesn’t matter. The only people who scream P2W clearly never paid attention to what DB was in the first place.

I feel sorry for you. Should have bough Fallout New Vegas.
I dunno, anyone left over saying that at this point is just mentally… uh… deficient.
So yeah, I would say it does even more. I frankly think they should have been doing this years ago.
People’s go-to argument when they’re bad at a free to play game is always that the game must be pay to win. There’ll be people calling it pay to win as long as there are new players around that don’t know how to play.
My favorite moment ever though, was when some level 8 obsidian fragger called the game pay to win bullshit after I killed him, using a gold version of skyhammer’s default loadout card, no less.
I was just like… bruh. BRUH. You paid and I didn’t, why aren’t you winning?
People complaining Dirty Bomb being p2w when Rainbow Six is a full priced game where you also need grind like hell for new operators + other ubisoft games and many others
I looked it up. I don’t see anything that helps you win oo
I mean, with used money you get nothing that makes you stronger. You only can get things faster- but it’s perfectly fine to just use the mercs in rotation
No.
Here’s the problem: a lot of actual P2W games incorporate make believe monies systems, and now, DB has adopted those same systems. It doesn’t matter you can earn the make believe monies, because you can in those games too, so how is DB not the same thing?
Think about it. Why do games force you to use their own propriety ingame monies instead of just letting you pay directly with cash?
Two reasons:
-
Force you to purchase make believe monies bundles where you will always have to purchase more make believe monies than you actually need ( $9.99 to purchase 1,000 rads, the item you want costs 650 rads, now you have 350 rads left over which is extra money in their pocket ). This means the dev / publisher can charge you more overall for the same stuff or to make it that much easier for you to purchase the next make believe monies bundle ( in the earlier example, you have 350 rads left over, so that’s wasted money, but if you buy another $9.99 / 1,000 rads bundle, you’ll have enough rads to purchase another two 650 rads items ).
-
Obscure the cost of the item you are purchasing. If an item is listed for $5, you know you are paying $5. But if the item is listed for 450 rads, how many monies is 450 rads?
Nothing about make believe monies systems is pro-consumer and any savvy gamer is going to immediately be suspicious of the intent of the devs / publisher.
How many times have you been interested in a game, realized the game had believe monies systems and instantly started wondering if the game was P2W? Or even worth your time anymore? “Is this game more like Fortnite where make believe monies is handed out so liberally it’s fully possible to play for free or is this game more like Black Desert where you have to keep paying to stay competitive? Is it worth my time to find out?”
Sure, DB is not P2W, but that is now the first impression DB will make on some players because DB now uses those same systems. Are they going to take the time to research if DB is P2W or not? Maybe, maybe not. And to be certain, this is not SD’s or DB’s fault, but anytime you incorporate make believe monies systems into your game, you are now immediately associating yourself with those games.
I voted no, because I didn’t the last option I think there will always be people complaining no matter what SD does. I have to give them some applause for actually letting players earn the “premium” currency. Not a lot of games do that (in my experience). I love that SD is making the premium currency possible to earn. I also love that they aren’t locking game features or characters behind a money only pay wall. That’s what pay-to -win actually is and its horrible. I think people who think DB is pay-to-win either just downloaded the game and haven’t realized how it works yet, or they don’t understand what a pay-to-win game actually looks like.
Just like Phantom, no matter what SD does to stop the ptw mindset someone will complain
