And I’m playing it in easy mode. It’s getting on my nerves. The damned police chief keeps sending my squad to the goddamn worthless command posts. None of the bots want to be engineers or operatives. Hacking takes for ever to do and no time to undo. It’s ****ing chaos and the damn fool police chief’s raving is driving me mad!
So, how can I beat Early Launch before I go totally nuts?
I just beat it, but I had to go on easy like you. All I did was went soldier, used a gerund with an under slung. Sat at the second level at the hack objective and just covered the bots. They get it done eventually, though I will admit I only had 45 seconds left on the clock. Took me 2 days, so just take it calmly, stick with a group of bots and move in.
Also if all the bots die there, don’t try to Custer it. Back off. But if u see the hack ticker going down, run in, fire a grenade, rip a mag on the box, and then get back to cover til friendlies show.
Single player that mission is a nightmare. I would strongly recommend finding a campaign server and just running the missions one after the other with other real players. This game is moderately fun playing with just the AI, but playing co-op / competitive is where it shines.
I’ve done it single player on normal and hard. It is a difficult mission, yes, but it can be done. Timing is essential. Change yourself to the objective class, and do it incrementally. Repair the crane whenever the coast is clear, eventually your team mates will be there to defend you. Be absolutely sure to stop repairing and start defending if you get shot. I recommend a heavy type with a Hjammerdiem and an AR, and to get yourself as buffed as possible.
For the hack, clear out the area with your team mates, and play it safe. Try not to die. Once you clear the area, stick the hackbox on and run for cover. It might go down to 3 bars but it’s ok. With the cover that area has, you’re never too far away from the hack box. If you see it go down, retaliate with the shotgun as fast as you can.
Golden tip: Grenades are your friend! Use them a lot!
Also, turrets are a big issue at the hack box. I recommend using the hack turret ability for your Operative.

I played all the campaign missions in public servers and we won all of them with ease.
Did that no real problems with my mate on a private server (360) did it in 2 runs as first time we got the tactics wrong second time round wasnt really a problem and was on Normal. Just need to find the best tactics for it.
The crane isnt too hard to get done u just need to get a friend to cover you while one of you repairs it.
The hack box is abit more difficult we did it with an engie mounting a turret and then him takin up a covering position then one of us hacked it
I did it single player on both normal and hard. It is frustrating but do-able. With the hacking, hide and get as much done as possible, but keep an eye on the radar and try and help your AI mates before they all get killed. Then when the balanced is tipped in your favour get back on the hack.
Hacking and data carrying are the single most frustrating objectives when playing with the AI because they are so easy to undo by the enemy, and support feels minimal at best. It seems the AI is happy to help clear an area, but as soon as it’s clear it feels running away to execute some other objective is a good idea, leaving you to hack all alone.

Was trying to complete this as a light operative with not much success. None of the bots seemed to be helping, so I changed to a heavy operative and alternated between gunning and hacking. I would hang by the door opposite the hack (still two to three bar signal) and mow down the enemy as they approached. Then move up to grab signal again. Rinse and repeat.
It’s damn hard to play this on Solo mode. I’ve won it by geting medium turret and place it in the hack place at ground level, then got to first level, mined my back and started defending the place with the two high rate of fire machine guns. I was light and still managed to keep the lemmings going down like this with a little help of my reliable medium turret at times. Of course getting ammo from bots it’s kind of hard when there is no way to make them ammo you.
I beat it using a heavy engineer with gotlung + medium turret! Spawn camping FTW!
Play with real people, the bots don’t help unless you play Hard Mode.
