EAC Error Code 30005

#1

Hi there.

Here are some potential solutions for this issue.
If you found a fix not included here please let me know so I can include it.

  1. Add exceptions for DB and EAC in your antivirus and firewall.

  2. Navigate to the following folder:

C:\Windows\SysWOW64

Find the EasyAntiCheat file, delete it and verify your game files afterwards.

  1. Navigate to the following folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dirty Bomb\EasyAntiCheat

Run the EasyAntiCheat_Setup, select Dirty Bomb from the list and click on repair service.

  1. Reinstall DirectX and all vcredist in the following folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dirty Bomb\_CommonRedist

  1. Remove the latest windows update.

  2. If nothing of the above helps, send a support ticket with the logs attached to it.

I would not recommend this one:
**Remove the latest windows update.
**

In next 48h there will be crucial update which provides security patches for latest security flaw in Intel (also AMD fix is there, but not that high-prio) CPU. While there is no PoC for use now, it will be available later.

There are rumors that it will affect performance but it’s limited to other type of software, there is no real impact for software like games.

It’s important to have this patch installed.

At the point of time I created this thread the intel bug wasn’t known yet and a different update, unrelated to this one, appeared to be causing the issue numerous people were experiencing. Thanks for the reminder, though! People who come across this should be aware.
