I wish I was a games journalist. Getting to go to expos and being paid for copy pasting questions from previous interviews sounds amazing.

From the Kombo article:

Some of the more interesting abilities revealed include a perk that causes the camera to zoom out while objectives are being completed, so players can watch their own backs, and one that notifies players when an enemy has them in their sights.

THAT, sounds totally awesome!

(tokamak) #4

THAT is not new.

(BioSnark) #5

Okay…? What would you like them to ask that they aren’t asking? These forums wouldn’t aren’t the worst place to drop your q’s.

The Q&A thread is filled with gems that haven’t even been touched upon my Journalists. It’s the same interview over and over again.

It’s a bit weird to see interviews from this year showing footage that is more than a year old. What are other viewers supposed to think who didn’t follow the development so far?

(PSG_Mud) #9

Probably that there was a major change in graphical development, or a halt due to loss of workers. Its alot of collum a and alittle in collum b I think.

I noticed in the gaming industry, it seems quite common nowadays that graphical direction changes are extremely common for an acceptable excuse to continue development. I can only imagine the true reasons behind these kind of things.

LOL I knew about the enemy sights notification, but I didn’t know that you could go all third person and stuff. That was news to me.

Man, I am just scramblin’ to find any shred of new news.

From the Gamespot interview
http://e3.gamespot.com/video/6265793/

Paul Wedgewood on combat upgrades. 3:10-3:36 of the video.

There are cool things like senses that allow you to identify when enemies have you in their crossairs

Sense of perspective where you can go into 3rd person when completing objectives

Ed Stern also talks about the combat intuition/senses in his interview with Kombo.com
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJN4BARoHUI 5:20-5:45

I really hope this is going to be balanced well. My view is that if you manage to successfully sneak up on someone then you should be rewarded for doing so. Same for Objectives, The point is that you should be vunverable when attemtping to complete one as this encourages your team to protect you etc.

Edit - Before I even get quoted I don’t care what you think Horse, I no longer wish to engage you in any more debates or discussions, its pointless and only makes me angry and will probably result in a ban (hence the infractions) so don’t even go there.

I would guess that Sense of Perspective would be balanced somehow? Only have vision for the last half of the objective or something? Also, I don’t expect everyone would want to spend their XPs on that one item, and therefore won’t be entirely widespread…
