Dyno radius too big?

Hey, i have a rather large problem with my map :slight_smile:


(sorry about the image size)

About 1cm further and it will blow up the gate…

The radius for the dyno to blow up in is way to big for what i want, how can i make it smaller?

the gate is a func_constructible, and the trigger_info_objective is the selected one in this pic:

Nevermind, i searched again, and this time found that you couldnt change it :frowning:

But yeah, its a func_explosive now :slight_smile:

Yepp the radius of dynos is hard coded which is a bit stupid but yea…

Make the door on a plateau, like on et_beach, so you must plant directly at it.

If you stand i stairs and a panzer shoots a few steps down, I think you wont be hurt, since the shot will have splash damage in 90 degree angles from the stairs. Im not 100% of this but I think I am accurate.

Are you saying that the resulting explosion from the dynamite blows the gate even that far out, if that is the case you either need to reduce the size of trigger brush to the area that you want.

If the size of your trigger brush is not affecting how far you can plant dyno out, then maybe the health of the func_explosive is not right. I thought you could form this kind of object in such a manner that only dynamite planted inside the trigger brush would blow the obj, if you think of the wall in Oasis if you plant too far to one side it doesn’t blow.

Just some ideas to maybe guide you.
