dual sun

…has it been implemented yet? It would be nice to have this kind of lighting in a CTF map… :???:

It is in. You can place a light in your map make it a spotlight and give it the _sun key without a value. If you use a sun already in your sky shader then this will be the other one. If not, the make two of it.

Hope, I’m right.

I have searched for info but never heard of the _sun key… Sounds like one you made up :???: …just in case, tried it, and no, it doesn’t work :frowning:

Soptlight alone won’t do the job neither, but thanks anyway

Q3Map2 supports multiple q3map_sun directives in a map’s shaders, as well as entity suns. To set up an entity sun, make a spotlight (an entity light targetted at an info_null) and add a “_sun” key with a value of “1”. No other value will work.

I guess L.J. was right after all, only he missed the key value. Just tried 2 ‘q3map_sun’ parameters in my shader, works great. Thanks for the info and for q3map2 of course!

Heh, I have much to learn. But that’s why I am here.
