Dreiss AR: Overpowered? Difficult, but Rewarding? Trash?

So, I just started using Redeye with the Dreiss AR yesterday, and what I’ve noticed is that it is so easy to use. Maybe it’s just because I main Phantom and I’m not used to mercs with real firepower, or maybe it’s because of an influx of new players due to an event or something, but to me, the recoil is way too light (especially when aiming down the sights) and it does too much damage. Anyhow, vote below and explain your perspective.

Honestly in my past experience it was no more effective to me than the M4 or Timik, so that’s a good thing.

Personally would like to see certain things changed but that’s just me.

I would say it’s in a good spot. I kinda wish i got to use it more because arty and kira and not the mercs i tend to play a lot but i really like the gun. I’m a sucker for semi-autos.

its pretty bad on Close range to me
id rather use Timik than that

but its pretty good if you can get consistent headshots

I remember when it was OP as hell back at the beginning of open beta… it seems to be decent now, if not somewhat temperamental. Sometimes it feels like a god killer and other times it can’t hit a thing. You really need to control the cone of fire, which doesn’t always gel with my playstyle.

I have a weird case, where this weapon’s performance depends on my mood…

Some days I’m doing great with it, but in the other days I’m terrible. Recently I’ve been doing great with it.

It dinks headshots well afar, and donks bodyshots nicely up close.

If you have decent accuracy (at least above mine) I can assure you, the Dreiss is nice.

It feels about as effective as the m4. I think it is in a good place right now.

Well, I dont remember ever getting annoyed really hard by someone with a dreiss, so i dont think its overpowered…

Depending on who uses it, it’s either incredble, or insanely weak.

I’f you can keep pepole at a decent range from you, you’ll actually be dominating mid-range combat until you’ll lose to an AR or a Grandeur.

It’s great now that it’s hipfire got buffed. Can spam it close to it’s max RoF without losing accuracy.

Most underrated gun in the game imo.

My friend has better accuracy than me and doesn’t fair well with it, so I think some people just struggle to to tap fire quickly while tracking.
