So i got the obsidian card for Arty with the semi auto AR. It is completely useless, takes 17 shots total to body shot someone and finish them around 12 for the initial body shot kill. I understand you need to get headshots right but heres the issue. On each shot the spread increases by a huge amount and by the time you get to the 4th shot non ADS its going all over and you get 0 hits. You can’t scope in because you get aim-punched and they are moving to fast to hit. Even then you are at complete disadvantage long range because of snipers and close range because any weapon is better in CQC than you . Then you have medium range, in this range you end up getting destroyed by sky hammer or any character with a auto weapon. Not only that but if you move around AT ALL it spikes the spread during shots after the first and second making you a stationary target which renders you useless. Honestly i feel like a reduction on spread and slight body shot increase would work but even on my good matches i get 90% of my kills from Turrets or my ability and in any point where its a straight up fights of bullets one on one i get murdered and cant do anything. I have been using him all day yesterday and today for around 15-20 hours of only arty playing. In the end my aim is fine and i get headshots with other weapons but Arty’s spread + low body damage + movement punishment causes it to be the worst weapon. You may counter argue with the fact that its a ADS weapon but its not because as i said earlier you get destroyed long range by snipers and medium by auto and then CQC you cant aim down as they are moving to fast so you get destroyed by non-ADS spread and movement penalty.
My final thoughts are
- Low body damage
- High spread
- High movment Spread increase
- Low accuracy
- weaker then every weapon in every situation
My opinion on fixing it.
- Reduce spread all across the board, not to much
- Increase body damage slightly
- Add a smaller Acog Scope(Use socketing for simple adding of attachments if you have too, assuming you are on UE4)
Don’t make the gun to overpowered as i don’t want it unbalanced the other way but honestly its under-powered as it is and needs a slight buff one way or another. I think a small scope would fit the weapon and would be easy to implement via sockets as i have ue4 experience and know its possible. I hate being at a constant disadvantage on every map and every situation. I want to use it because of the obsidian card and looks and the gun/character is generally fun to use when im not getting completely destroyed. To those who use it and want to the only way to get kills is when they are distracted or if you are behind them, but then again that works for anything.
