@EtherFox gotta disagree slightly.
First of the Dreiss reached its max bloom after shot 4, at maximum ROF. I tested that quite extensively, aswell as it is evident by all the complaints about the Dreiss, beforehand that it shots went all over the place on hipfire.
If you control your shots to prevent that, you are not shooting at maximum ROF or introducing a artifical delay in between. In both cases you are lowering your effective DPS in those encounters, negating the complaint that you end up with lower DPS.
The fun thing is before they buffed the ROF, the Dreiss was already performing just as good on longrange. infact the higher ROF helped the most, in closecombat reducing the possibility for a fast Merc to slip out between shots. Reducing the situations where you hit upon the 4 shot limit. Now that they limited the maximum spread the higher ROF is less relevant in this case.
On long range, I can see that you would loose DPS/TTK in the maximum performance setting.
However quite often on long range you can’t put out max ROF, since you gotta readjust your aim fight the recoil, you and your targets are doing alot of corner peaking.
Atleast in my opinion, the reliable gain you get in situations, outside of perfect ADS Dreiss range. Outweights the 0.03 seconds it takes longer to put out another shot.
Ofcourse it could just be me, considering that I’m fairly agressive and have a tendency to shoot at the center of mass
, The changes propably buff my personal playstyle more, than someone who is glued to longrange.
