double time perk

So with the double time perk, if you start reloading and then break into a sprint, it seems to cancel the reload.

As it is I can reload when I’m not sprinting and when I am, so why can’t I reload when I’m transitioning from not sprinting to sprinting, you know? Like it seems that that’s the most likely scenario is you’ve emptied your clip in a hit and run and the auto reload animation starts and your off sprinting away to find some more targets and you get there and, bam your clip is still empty… pretty frustrating.

Right now, yeah, if you are holding shift and sprinting and you hit reload R manually then it does reload, but in the scenario above, when you’ve just been firing and hence not sprinting and the auto reload happens, the reload cancel of sprinting always happens and you have to manually hit R to start the reload again! seems a bit redundant, IMO.

Anyways, just my thoughts on the perk.

P.S. fletcher and lock-on perk, any news? we’ve had a few updates and I haven’t seen any mention of it in the patch notes. Is it a 33% increase to the detonator click speed or is it still not quite working properly?

Lock-on literally does nothing. It hasn’t been working properly since they removed auto detonation from stickies.
On the topic of double time, the reason is that you have sprint cancels reload enabled in your options. If you disable this it will fix this issue completely.

You can choose to not have sprint interrupt reload.

You can disable “Sprint cancels reload” in the options under advanced.

The downside to this is that if you need to get the heck out of dodge quickly you will be stuck in a reload animation and won’t be able to sprint. It’s one of the challenges of the game TBH. I have sprint cancel reload because moving quickly when you need to is a higher priority than finishing a reload. And you very very quickly learn to start sprinting before you initiate a reload.

To help with this I would turn Sprint toggle on too. Which everyone SHOULD have on as it makes crouch jumping much easier.

It’s not too much of a downside imo. just learn to weapon switch into sprint.
