I distinctly remember in a previous patch the devs stated that shooting any kind of obj counts as a hit in accuracy stat.
Yet after the MOFO update, whenever i shoot the EV to disable it, my accuracy goes down. After a match in chapel where i spent nearly entire match shooting the EV, my accuracy dropped a whole .2 point.
Is that normal?
Dose shooting the EV/generators count as a hit in weapons accuracy stat?

i shoot 10 million+ bullets but only about 6 million hits…
whats accuracy if your bullet goes to EV or generator.
i dont even care about having a good stats as long as my team won
Victory wipes away dishonor
Not entirely sure, but one might ask why you’re purposely trying to statpad your accuracy by shooting the EV.
Tbh I thought I remembered reading that shooting the EV no longer counts as a miss, but not necessarily that it counts as a hit.

I wasn’t padding my stat. But i will not tank my stat just to cause 100 damage to the EV after shooting it with 2 full clip of M4 either.
My M4 accuracy is bad enough as it is.
Hmm… I haven’t checked that yet. But personally I don’t really care about my own accuracy tbh.
I played one match a while ago where for whatever reason my team had no firesupport mercs, so all I did was stab the EV to disable it, my beckhill accuracy fell almost an entire percent.
Although I think I remember reading in changelogs a while ago that shooting generators no no longer counted against accuracy. But that doesn’t necessarily mean it counts for accuracy either.
sorry for this crazy questioin, you can actually bring down the ev with just 2 full m4 clips?
No you can’t. The EV can take a lot more than 100 damage (I don’t know exactly how much health it has though). But you will need a lot of clips to bring it down. It also works with damage multipliers (I believe), which means it gets damaged more by certain types of damage (in the case of the ev it’s explosive damage).
I just play to win. My accuracy is like than 30% on the majority of my guns because I’ve always shot at objectives, shot at corners I’m suspecting someone to walk out from, and especially for suppression. I tend to shoot at large groups of enemies and as long as I hit a few of them, it stops them from taking down our health station or finishing off my teammates. This has a lot to do with playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 so much.
Anyways, although this is a little off-topic, I personally feel that losing some accuracy to win the game and tbag the losers is the ultimate ego boost… Even if it is just Dirty Bomb. Remember guys, ALWAYS be a DICK!

Personally I like the pressure of the accuracy counter, it encourages me to hit enemies more and improve my aim.
I figure if you’re gonna shoot something, might as well have it hit. Even if you don’t kill the enemy or even get an assist, you at least change their plans. They might retreat, rather than throwing that grenade at your med station, because they know it’s better not to die.
I haven’t found that suppression fire is a big aspect in this game. Like if I see someone shooting randomly from a corner, depending on the corner I usually dodge in with wall jumps and melee them to death or immediately run around to the other side and flank them. Assuming they’re alone or in a small group. Giving away your position can be the worst thing you do in this game imo.
That’s my playstyle at least.
