Hi all,

MY question is :

I want to make a door , but in fact it are two doors , the left one slides to the left, the right one slides to the right, but they have to move both if you push one of it.

It’s like xlabs in RTCW

And about command posts : does somebody have a good tutorial with WORKING cp’s !! not planetquake (the allies and axis cp don’t work there)

so i want an axis + an allies cp.

  1. For the doors make the 2 parts script_mover and let them slide to path_corners by triggering them with a func_invisible_user that is linked to a target_script_trigger. The move itself is controlled by a script.

  2. Use the Search !!! There are more than enough threads about creating commandposts.
    Btw, socks example commandposts do work. If its not working for you, have a look at GoldRush.

Hi!
Welcome to the world of mapping. It took me two years before I knew how to map. I still suck compare to some 1337 mappers that hang around at this and other mapping forums.
Anyhow, I have created some cool laboratory doors. You will be able (soon) to download them, and stick them into you map. The only drawback is that these doors are submitted to a so called prefab contest. And they have not gone public yet (the competition has halted, temporarely).
As soon as they are public, there will a download link posted in this thread:

In sum: The doors are there, they look awesome but they are not public at the moment (but soon).
Suggestion: Use ordinary doors meanwhile. Finish a simple version of your map. You can always go back and add more complicated stuff later.

Ok thanks :slight_smile: and bye the way i’m not new in the world of mapping, i’m cementosje but my account didn’t work anymore , and I wass in-active for 3 months, my new map : Xmap by me and my friend Alfa shall be released soon!

But , I don’t want the doors to rotate, but to slide, + I need a little map with 2 objectives in it + the script so I can copy it to my map ,

  • I want, if you destroy the 2 objectives , that you get : ALLIES WIN! or something like that, it’s going to be a cool map if everything works !

put the doors in the same team, look at the entitie definitians in radiant damnit!!!

Try “Map in a Box”

it has several things in it, Command Post, destructible, + scripting

:stuck_out_tongue: calm down oxygen, btw ik ken je en jij mij ook dus zaag nie :wink: :stuck_out_tongue: euhm well I made the doors , it’s just with team , team(number) target … targetname…,… :wink: the only problem left is lazers , I want to make lazers but I don’t realy know how to make them…

I noticed you lose your temper very easy…

  1. This is not good for health.
  2. It makes the other people who really don’t know what every bit and byte does just feel more depressed and feel “stupid” just because they didn’t understand every little thing they were told, as if their problems alone aren’t giving them hard times…

I really think it would be best for all of us if you just calm down a bit.
Everytime you see a noob that freaks you out just go out and restore your oxygen supply…
You don’t have to help 'em all, we are all here to help each other and if noobs are giving you a headache, we’ll help them out.

About sounds , how can I add a sound to a door? type 10 and that stuff? what’s the one for a metal sound? and , can I add a sound from the pak0 / sound / world to the door if it opens and closes?

If you scroll down the description box of the func_door entity you’ll see a list of types and numbers.
Then just type “type” for key and the number for metal in the value box.

selecteer je deur, druk op “N” , plaats je muis op de 7 kleine puntjes en beweeg je muis omlaag: ik had hetzelfde probleem

I think the first time you startup radiant the descripton box isn’t vissible by default
