Yeah, make a func_invis_user that covers only one side of the door. Then make it target the door.

Select the func_invis_user and the door, in that order, then press Control+K.
Alternitavely, select the door and press N to bring up the entity editor. In the ‘key’ field, type in ‘targetname’, then type any name into the ‘value’ field, eg ‘test_door’. Then select the func_invis_user, and give it a ‘target’ field with the same value.
Make sure the value you use isn’t used elsewhere in the map for a target/targetname.
