Dont like the new quests!

I made the mistake of buying a starter pack dont like most of the mercs in it , and ive made a few gold spending errors, and i bought the recently deceased phantom, it was bad enough having to gimp my squad putting in mercs i dont like for quests, but now i actually have to play these lemons?

just gave up trying to do 3k support xp with sparks , i just dont like her and people arent dead long enough for that silly revive gun to charge these days , people seem to instantly tap out or the body gets gibbed.

as its penalising people for buying mercs is there any chance we can select which mercs we want quests for, or some way to kill/sell mercs we dont want or do i start a new account?

oh and quests to play competitive? dont you think you ought to fix the matchmaking and get rid of some of the hackers before forcing us into that shit storm?

Exact wording of the Sparks Support quest? I believe you’ll find you can earn the support xp as anyone you just need her in the squad.

You just need the merc in the squad to get the mission done. You don’t actually have to play as them if you do not want to.

I haven’t seen what missions are for competitive but my first thoughts were, “that is going to anger some people if you force them into MM and they don’t want to do MM”. But I haven’t seen the full implementation yet as the backend is having issues right now and I can’t get missions to fill.

I agree on the competitive missions those are just BS.
But the xp with merc missions clearly say: get ???xp with “this merc” in your squad which is fine, it’s the same as before but the “get xp missions” and the “have this merc in squad missions” combined.

yeah i had that idea, so i took skyhammer again not one i like but i figured loose a couple of rounds spamming ammo packs and get it out of the way , but i didnt get any quest xp progress doing it

eR, I’ve only been playing for a week, but from what I can tell, merc-specific quests only require you to have them in your squad (as one of your 3 cards) where as XP-specific quests can be obtained through any character.

its bugged then , because that wasnt working . not that taking two mercs i dont want to play in is a lot better than one but hey its more flexible at least (if it worked)

I did complete a few missions before the servers went down might have mixed it up with another mission that completed. Im not 100% sure but I think I did complete a Fletcher mission with a Proxy.

Well, this thread is a bit old but I didn’t want to make a new one. I kinda have some buyer’s remorse regarding Arty, I thought he would be a good addition to my roster.

I did play him on free rotation so I knew what I would be getting by purchasing him, but now as it stands I don’t think he actually fits my playstyle and I don’t see the reason to pick Arty over my trusty and proven Skyhammer.

What I’m trying to say is: Are the developers planning on adding a feature of selling mercs ? I feel that my credits were wasted, and I don’t like the fact that I have a merc in my roster that’s just gathering dust.

Also addressing the topic’s mission related issue. Although you don’t need to play the merc to finish the mission, that’s just an occupied spot for another merc that I could’ve used. I would really love to see a ‘Sell a merc’ option even if it’s for 50% of the original price, or even less than that.

Simply don’t do the missions. You won’t die if you miss them.

All joking aside, skipping missions isn’t my main problem as you can see by my post, I just don’t want to have a merc in my roster that I’m not going to use, simple as that. That’s my plea: Make mercs that you simply will not play sellable.

If someone from SD reads this see if it’s something that people would like to be implemented. It’s not a completely useless request, because some players will benefit from it I’m sure of it, but that decision is entirely on you.

Well you bought him in the first line. And as far as I know you only get one merc mission max. so you can use this dump-merc and 2 you normally play. Or you just adapt an learn all the mercs.

Well I would most definitely like to master every merc but I just suck so bad with the BR-16, Kind like the automatic over the burst fire or the semi auto.
