Ive not even started on modding so im a serious newbie. Im just wondering is it possible to have an MG42 based gun to fire panzers or mortars instead of bullets? Of course ill change its model but i just want a big turrent that u can grab and fire.

Well, i’m not a modder either, but as you posted this in the mapping forum i’m guessing that you want to incorporate this into a normal map. If you get a mod to do this for you, then you will only be able to play that map on a server which is running that particular mod… and I don’t think any of the current mods offer this ability (you may want to check the mod list that nUllSkillZ maintains: http://www.splashdamage.com/index.php?name=pnPHPbb2&file=viewtopic&t=7522). I.e. to obtain this effect, you are probably going to have to start creating your own mod. I can tell that you have a lot of ideas, and a lot of things that you want to achieve. Making a mod would allow you the scope to incorporate any gameplay aspect that you are capable of dreaming up and programming. Although, it probably will take a lot more effort to start learning how to mod, although the programming will stand you in good stead for future programming projects.

im thinking about dropping that idea lol, i want to learn one thing at a time and mapping is really hard for me at the moment. o well
