Does Weapon Class Affect Running/Climbing?

(Jimmy James) #1

I know that body type (light, medium, heavy) affects how fast you can run and how high you can climb but I was wondering if the currently equipped weapon class (side arms, light, medium, heavy) made any difference.

Thanks,
JJ

Yes heavy weapons slow you down big time, pistols make you run fast while assault rifles make you run around average speed. SMG’s make you run fast-ish.

Ah, so if I’m playing a light body build, meant to run fast, it’s probably a good idea to assign my side arm (pistol) to my primary weapon slot.

Thanks for the input,
JJ

No, thats completely wrong, the weapon doesnt judge speed, the body does, equipign a lighter one might give you a slight speed boost, but no, do you see heavys using pistols and running realy fast?no.

I don’t understand. Are you saying that weapon class affects sprint speed or it doesn’t?

Don’t listen to “iezza”. Your weapon does in fact affect ur climbing, but not sprint speed. A pistol, such as a kalt, mantling up a wall does in fact effect climbing speed.

Sub-Machine Gun- (lightweight) Fast
Sub-Machine Gun-(medium Kind of Fast
Sub-Machine Gun-(heavy) Pretty good For Heavy

Assault Rifle-(medium) Normal
Assault Rifle-(heavy) Reasonable for a fat-ass

Heavy Weapons-(only for heavy body types) Movement is lowered to almost Call Of Duty Movement(Not hating on Call Of Duty)

I’m sure if you really wanted specs you could Google search it

All i commented on was sprint speed, not climbing.

I’ve noticed that if I’m using “X” SMG (or sniper) as a light, and I take out my secondary pistol that I run slightly faster.

I was wondering if different SMG’s have different weights? I’ve noticed (or maybe it was just me) that different load outs (alll SMGs) had me running at different speeds, anyone know if this is true?
