Does Stoker Seem Boring to You (Personality Wise)?

Don’t get me wrong, Stoker is SO MUCH FUN to play. But personality wise, he’s a little… boring. I mean he’s a Old British gentleman who is an arsonist! I just wish his personality was a bit more interesting, maybe more sadistic. Like Jack the Ripper, but pyromaniacal.

“Oh, bugger off.” -Stoker

His voice lines and taunts are awesome, he’s just not as boisterous as the other mercs.

Because a gentleman is the exact OPPOSITE of the typical “pyromaniac” personality (i.e insanity, obsession, schizophrenia, sadism, etc.)

And that’s the way I like it.

His backstory makes how charming how much of a gentleman he is.

Each trade has their longstanding professional dilemmas. Every Fire Support officer wonders if one day, sooner or later, they’ll have to call in an airstrike on their own position to save the rest of their unit. Not a decision to be taken lightly, and particularly not with White Phosphorus. It was, apparently, a decision Stoker was happy to make. When he talks about what incendiary explosives can do, listen to him. He knows what he’s talking about. Quite what such a formerly senior officer is doing working as a humble frontline mercenary is anyone’s guess.

“Madam, in the morning you’ll still be a horrendous harridan and I’ll be drunk.”
“Ahh, the Great British Barbecue.”
“Careful of napalm. Tricky stuff.”

Does that sound like a boring man to you!?

The insane, sadistic arsonist character has been done to death. A classy gentleman is a fresh take on the old pyro maniac character

Fuck me I voted wrong.
But I like his personality as it reminds me of a killing floor character. Only more proper.

This… and that’s why I love him.

For those who are not familiar with Killing Floor voice acting:

Personally I would have preferred Stoker to be either Spanish because they were the first to use them back in the Spanish Civil War or Finnish because they improved the design and coined the term molotov cocktail during the Winter War as an insult to Russian foreign minister Vyacheslav Molotov.
