Does Shotgun shot pierce projectile?

(GatoCommodore) #1

i was playing fletcher for a while and i threw a sticky at a cloaked phantom

i cant explode it, he started firing and i shot my sticky with my shotgun
it exploded and i continue shooting him until my anhuld has 3 shell left and most of my attack hits his leg because i was in a lower elevation.

im wondering if the shotgun shell still damaged the phantom or it disintegrate with the sticky?

Are you asking if the sticky bomb deleted some of the shotgun’s pellets when it exploded?
Because I’d have to say a hard no. Its a hitscan weapon so there would be no physical pellet for the sticky bomb to collide with on the explosion.

What I think you are probably asking is… did the pellets from your initial shot on the sticky bomb continue on past the sticky bomb to also hurt Phantom. I’m going to have to say no, I’m pretty sure once it hits a target it ends there. Only snipers can pierce.

EDIT: well… some snipers anyway, the PDP doesn’t, don’t think the grandeur does either, but I can’t remember.

Stickies have a hitbox so they block bullets. All your pellets that hit the sticky didn’t hit Phantom because they were already “consumed” (I guess you could say)

Only bolt action sniper rifles (FEL-IX and MoA) can penetrate objects

Yeah, only bolt action snipers do

Well, bullets don’t pierce other deployables, so I doubt they’d pierce stickies.
