Does Phoenix currently have a place in the competetive meta?

Does he? I can’t really think of a situation where he isn’t beaten by Sawbonez or Sparks.
He isn’t as effective as Sawbonez as a pocked medic.
He isn’t as good as reviving as Sparks.
He can’t help hold a position as well as Aura.
He doesn’t heal as well as Sawbonez.
And, his ‘‘Signature’’ ability is nothing more than a gimmick at this point.

What I’m saying is, having something tha really defines him and sets him apart wouldn’t hurt him, and might even land him a spot on professional teams once in a while.

Honestly the only thing I can see him being is a good solo Medic, but the self revive is too slow.

I would gladly let it be nerfed slightly in the cooldown aspect as long as I could actually get up reliably well.

Though a lot of people won’t like that though.

I’d like a small buff to how much health his heal gives.

2 sawbonez are simply better for 5v5, 6 med packs. Phoenix shines the more people there are as sawbonez’s light gets dimmer and dimmer.

I see his self revive as more of an extra rather than an actual ability. It really comes in handy when you’re with teammates though.

His healing pulse is fine as it is, learn when to use it. I wouldn’t mind a small buff though.

In comp, his self revive is really weak because people gib alot quicker.

His main issue is his cooldown is too long. The game is played at a far faster pace in comp than in pubs and as a result friendlies need topping up on a much more regular basis, something that phoenix can’t do but sawbonez can.

Being able to self revive is life-changing in pubs(especially right now due to the proxy spam).
Although in a competitive scene it gets far less useful, everyone knows how the game works and phoenix has one more reason to get shot to death.
I’ve seen some tournaments in which some teams tried to make phoenix work and it didn’t end too badly, but he still is a sawvonez downgrade.
