Does anyone else read "FEL-IX" as "Fel-Nine"?

Just out of curiosity. I assume that a lot of people would call it the “Felix”, but applying my basic understanding of Roman numerals I have elected to read it as “Fel-9”, and I was just wondering if anyone else out there shares this sentiment. :smiley:

I read it the first time as that, but then I realized it was a pun.

why didn’t they just call it the Barret? Does FEL9 mean Fuc.king Erotic Lamentation 9? Just give us guns with better names besides this stuff. (well, it would be funny if it is what I said up there)

@sgtCrookyGrin
Because it’s name is a pun on the gun it’s based off of, the Lynx GM-6 and Cats.
Lynx is a type of Cat, Felix the Cat was a cartoon.

The Lactic, Nader’s grenade launcher is a milk pun, the real grenade launcher is called the Milkor.

The Ahnuld 12 is pun on the actor with one saying his name mimicing his accent since he uses the same shotgun in The Terminator 2, most notable in a famous chase scene.

The Moa, could just be More-Snipers and the rest could just be pseudo russian sounding words or just generic designations.

@Redcap
I think MOA stands for “Minute of Angle”
