Does ANYBODY play Challenge Mode? (360)

(Gorilla Gunk) #1

I’m trying to get through Tower Defense 2 and Be Objective 2 and I don’t care how good you are, those are impossible to get through by yourself.

But every time I try and play them, I’m always by myself. I even once just waited for almost an hour and nobody came into my game. I don’t think I’ve seen a single other person playing ANY of the challenges since the first week the game was out so either everybody just sticks to Freeplay or Campaign or the matchmakiing for Challenge Mode is somehow worse then the system for the other parts of the game. I mean the matchmaking system overall is bad but at least in Freeplay I can get in a game with at least one or two people 90% of the time.

Nobody plays the challenges because they’re not much fun. Here’s how to completer them:

Make new character. Level him to 1 and take grenade shooting. Every time he gets to level 2, reset. That way, you’re always playing against level 1 ai. I did it by resetting to level 0, but grenade shooting makes everything easier.

And I also thought that when you play Be More Objective by yourself, it’s suppose to give you bots.

I mean, I can see my teammates names, but they’re not there.

Okay I’ve read on some sites this is a glitch and that I need to clear my cache or whatever and redownload the patches.

Can somebody confirm this before I do that?

I don’t recall ever getting bots on Be More Objective, but it’s been awhile.

(Throbblefoot) #6

I did the level 1- and 2-star challenges, but for some reason I didn’t get either of the related achievements. So I might end up playing them again, not because I want to, but because I “have” to.

And on a related note, if you want the achievements you have to beat the challenges by yourself (at least that’s how it works on the PC). Some, thinking I’m a fangirl, will be surprised to hear me say, “Hey SD, that sucks tapir proboscis!”

To unlock the achievements, you have to complete all challenges with the same Character (Dude) and solo. Hope that helps!

(nephandys) #8

If you are trying to unlock the upgrades, you only get them if you complete the 1 and 2 star challenges by yourself.

(Duraigo) #9

I got bots for “be more objective”. Objective took me one or two tries, while Tower Defense was easy.

(FireWorks) #10

They are all easy on every level. Tried the BMO yesterday to see if lv24 changed something and its still perfectly solvable.

Gotta do them alone with bots in solo mode to get the unlocks.

(Anneliese Stone) #11

i just completed them all in the last couple of hours except for the last “Be More Objective” i seriously can’t get through the engineer part.

(FireWorks) #12

Focus on killing them until your team has taken the ground beneath the objective. They should take the most bullets while you construct, also a nade at the stairs holds bots of a couple more seconds.

(Zekariah) #13

It really DOES come down to having the lowest level character possible.

Believe met, the enemy bot difference in difficulty is massive.

If you start a lvl 0 character, then start the BMO challenge first. By the time you reach 3 star you will be at or close to lvl 2, but the bot difficulty diiference is relatively zero.

The other challenges are really not that difficult, in fact I recommend doing tower defense once you hit rank 2 or 3 as setting up turrets and mines is an invaluable set of abilities to utilize for this challenge.

they arent impossible. many of us have done them to level 3.

lots of ways to do this.

i find sniper and smg with drum mag is a good start. you can headshot them from distance and use the smg for the closer ones.

also i think engineer is a good class to use (cant remember if you can even change class). turrets and 2 mines is good.

or as other have said, if you arent good enough just create a new character, it should be really easy then.

between every wave get back to the CP and get more ammo. sometimes you might need to change guns. when more come you might want a shotty.

i think when you play with a mate it messes up. i tried to help my mate get his challenges but it was just us 2 vs 8 bots. if you do it alone (private game) you get some bots to help you.

general rule is to just got for the objectives and let bots revive you if needed. you also need to figure out better routes. some routes are much safer

(QUIK420) #17

Got through both of those myself and I was using my lvl 20 char…Just gotta learn the levels and know the best routes and camping places. Or you can make a new character and play against the easy bots also.

(wolfnemesis75) #18

Challenge mode is good to hone your skills and level your character so you can start Freeplay with Light Body Type. That’s what I have used it for all my 5 builds.

LOL, I got through them on my own. The be objective took me 30 tries though and at least 3 hours. Thank you for your time.

(Baiken6609) #20

Be more objective 3 I got on my first try.
Escort 3 first try got it.
Parkour 3 2nd try got it
Tower defense 3 4th try got it.

One they only count in solo play.
2 I recommend heavy for tower and light for objective.
Escort you can use mediums, but heavy work just a tad bit better plus escort 3 star is shorter than 2 star
