But the images from google of germans documents do not have the wolf logo because those images are real documents from ww2. I want the docs to look real, for game play and to be different for document objectives instead of the old ET documents.
if you want the ultamite ww2 realistic experience get a time machine and go back to the war but as ET isnt meant to offer such realism and in its maps uses wolf logos and not nazi orientated logos i think you should do so too, if not try give the model to COD they seem to like realism over gameplay.
I prefer the swastika being used in game rather than the Wolf Logo (and there are many maps that do, regardless of what anyone says to the contrary). I see zero reason to use a Wolf Logo unless you live in Germany or you’re in denial of what happened back in the 30’s and 40’s. The more realism, the better. That goes for level and model design, as well as subject matter (what the map is about).
This is a game about WWII, swastikas come with the territory, like it or not.
I still think its better to have a realistic looking document for once with out the wolf logo.
Here it is, all ready for download.
Just copy and paste it into your browser to download it, or open the link and hit refresh.

well I wanted it to have detail in the model and it would have went all blury if I resized it, but its only around 600kb
It’s only around 600 kb?? I try to make my maps in their entirety ~5-7 Kb, that’s 10% of the total map size.
Again, totally up to you, but using graphics that might prevent german servers from playing the map or sizing your assets so that people abandon them in favor of other assets just prevents people from using your work, which is very nice.
if you insist on realism you should not make the upper document that thick, since it is only a certificate… which usually doesnt go on top of 50 pages of bound paper
2048x2048 will give you trouble on older graphics cards… this tiny little thing sucks up 16MB of uncompressed texture memory! be sure to set r_picmip 0 when testing in game… otherwise your settings might reduce texture quality.
:P, is it a certificate :). I thought it looked like a cover to documents :D. Well with maps, lets just say this is beta 1 of my model, ill work on the file size and other things.
seems that i’ve done my editing just in time to prevent the appearance of the nasty lil “edited” hint
didn’t expect that you answer that fast
To CH’s point, I think it’s a great piece of work that you’ve put together, BUT, you have to think about how this is going to interact with all of the other game elements and assets in a map. Large files will cause people to pass over your work in favor for the default docs which are tiny. Large assets which potentially cause problems on people’s comps will definately cause people to pass over your work, after much hair pulling trying ot figure out why people are running into problems.
