Do your engineer deployments disappear when you change classes mid-match?

Actually it was just to mock you, nothing to do with post count.

There’s very plain and hugely obvious reasons (stated sarcastically or not) why they should disappear, i’ve not seen any proper reason as to why they should stay other than “I think they should”.

The main contributors here really aren’t post count whores, and I think they all take pride in not being that way. This place is generally thought of as being ‘above’ all that nonsense from my experience.

That’s not to say there isn’t a healthy amount of sarcasm that goes on, but people just need to remember that most of the people that have been here a while are fans of all of SD’s games, and base a lot of our expectations for Brink on them.

That’s why you get the ‘Obviously the turrets disappear derp!’ posts.

In closing, obviously the turrets disappear!

derp.

Well, the reason I brought this up is because Battlefield Bad Company 2 keeps your engineer mines in play even if you die and change classes. And since two other people on this thread thought the turrets remain, it’s not “hugely obvious.”

But hey, thanks to all the above posters for welcoming a newbie to this forum with condescension and sarcasm. Nice job helping the community flourish.

The hugely obvious part is why they would choose to destroy them in a game with such close quarters fighting (I thought that was obvious as well…). I’ve always viewed BC2 as a kit change rather than a class change, you grab someone elses kit off the ground and suddenly you’re a trained medic but ok… also considering the size and openness of BC2 maps it’s not as big of an issue.

So any comment on my reason why? Defensive team all spawn as engis, deploy 8 turrets and at least 16 mines, buff each others weapons, all switch to medic, buff each others health and lazarus nade each other to hell while self reviving.

And it was friendly banter that you took more serious than you should have, better get used to it cos it doesn’t stop (but still stays friendly ).
Do you keep the revive ability when you switch class?

That would such an utterly retarded game btw, where you could have abilities like the flak jacket, adrenaline syringe, instant backstab and what not all in the same class. Nobody would play that.
you never played ETPub ?
