They did also say they plan to incorporate the cards into Steam marketplace, whatever that means.
The whole system will get inflated really fast since you get 26000 Credits within your first hour of gameplay, which you can spend on getting 26 cases.
And the game will be free2play, so no barrier to stop someone making 5 accounts, collecting a total of 130 cases within five hours, and selling/trading all the cards away.
I don’t see how p2p trading will have any real benefits in light of that.
There’s already a fairly selective crafting system where you can pick the character and tier of card, which is actually quite generous.

Just put a trade limit maybe ? So allow only players with level X or more to trade (where X is a number).
How did you come up with that credit gaining Ninth, most of my games AFTER the dailies are done are like 200 CR max that’s being in the top 3.
Even if they re-work the system and give you a massive credit boost it would still be awesome to trade amongst players.
Having a training page on forums would make it even faster.
If they do buff credits then maybe the 3-1 trade with the system would work.
Also let’s not forget that the more the mercs will be released, the harder it’ll be to get the card we want from the cases, and the more cards we will be able to trade up ! At the end we would get what… Then more mercs ? Even more ? That’s even more cards added to the cases, and even more to trade. It won’t be easy to earn everything obviously.

If u hit level 2 and level 4 you will get 12k each = 24k the missions give u 600 each 3*600 = 1.8k = 25.8k
level 4 is doable in like 5 games if you are playing good…
sadly he is right, it wouldnt really work out. still the child in my eyes wants to trade my stuff with others. but I guess it is alright the way it is right now.

It can be easliy fixed by just make trading for lvl 10+ and make a limit for 1-5 trades a day.

It wouldn’t be a complete fix either. People would still create multiple accounts to take advantage of the freebies.
I wish I could atleast reroll the beta loadout card a few times. I really can’t play with burstfire XD
If we could only trade cards 1 for 1 with another player (e.g. one gold for one gold), then it probably can’t be abused. That would be interesting IMO!
@Looms, how is it garbage? In my experience the trade ups already provide pretty good value compared to the random drops (which have been almost entirely leads for me…), and considering it’s mainly intended to get rid of duplicates, that’s pretty good. If the extra cost is dropped, it would be extremely good. It just still needs a solution for duplicate golds.
They should only allow trading of Osidian card since a lot of people feel rip off on it.
The entire system sucks, the classes are fine by default and even if loadouts weren’t completely unnecessary the card system is by far the worst way I can think of to implement it. Sadly it’s probably something forced on the devs by Nexon (gotta have gambling in our f2p games!) so I don’t see it ever going away. Hopefully they will eventually at the very least disable them in ranked matches.
I wouldn’t say it is because of Nexon, as those crates cannot even be bought using real money.
Is the card system terrible? Oh, yes it is. For multiple reasons.
As a new player, you don’t even know all combination of weapons and perks available. There is no list of loadouts afaik. It will become worse when they release even more mercs. Just imagine the amount of cards once 20 mercs are in.
You can get loadout cards for mercs you don’t own, and that you will not own within the next 100-200 hours because of how slow the credit income is.
I don’t know what is wrong with straight up designing your own loadout by selecting weapons and perks.
Upfront saying it is for balancing reasons is either a lie or incompetence. If certain combination prove too strong you nerf parts of it, like every online game ever made.
It’s not like right now some loadout cards are better than others. And to make matters worse, if you nerf one part of that loadout card, you might nerf others, not so strong loadout cards aswell, as they share a part with the OP one.
