I find that I rarely use the mini map, in most cases I’m running with team mates and don’t have the time to carefully observe the map to determine where enemies are, plus its difficult to determine how far away the enemy is with the radar when your on the fly.
Do you use the minimap?
There’s a minimap? Am I blind or stupid or something?
EDIT: Ah you mean the radar. When I think minimap, I think of something like in CSS where it shows the outline of the level as well.
I look at it from time to time, but I don’t rely on it as much as I do with other games.
I don’t use it either, game is too fast and you can usually tell where enemies are so I haven’t really had the need.
The only time I ever use it is if I’m hacking as an operative and I want to see if enemies are on the way. Other than that, I never use it. Makes silencers and the silent feet perk useless, IMO.
Not so much now, I probably will do more when I’m more comfortable with the HUD and the maps. That should give me more time to look at other things.
Yeah actually I do. It’s great when you’re having one of those long range ‘round the corner’ duels, you can brace yourself to fire when you see the red dot move side-ways (and thus lean around the corner).
I dont use the radar/“minimap” as much as other games but i find it usefull when not seeing anyone but hearing a comotion going on near me or when i am doing an objective to know if they are close enough to be a threat or not.
With silencers, they have a slight advantage of stealth but not alot, having said that though they also dont drop the power enough to really be a hinderance to reagular play styles anyway. I find that alot with many things in the game, almost nothign is gamebreaking but at the same time very useful for those with a personal preferance or style of play. I think its just great to have the choice and at the same time not feel like you are really losing or gaining an unfair advantage over others.
i look at it when i use the comm hack with the operative since it also shows where the turrets are located so i can go hack them with my iphone
Comm Hackin’ as an operative to find turrets , or to know if it is safe or not to disguise. Otherwise, as any other class generally I use it to actually see if it is safe to cap command posts or alternatively to reposition myself defensively when I see enemies zoning in.
Use it from time 2 time, particularly when I’m doing an objective to keep an eye out
