Yesterday i accidentally clicked on that thing, and i wonder if anyone uses that feature on purpose.
My main problem with quickjoin that it doesn’t care about my ping:
In EU region I have between 40 and 100ms, and the difference is noticeable.
Also when I play with my friends (which means most of the time) I need to find a server with 4+ empty slots, while quickjoin puts me on a close-to-full server most of the time or an empty one.
Always try and join a Lobby thru server browser in attempt to play at start of round , unfortunately not always the case due to silly loading times.
I dont mind playing with beginners because i suck. 90% of them have better aim than me.
When I play objective, I use quick join, and for stopwatch I use server browser. Because my server browser config is set and I don’t want to change it everytime I have an objective mission.
If quickjoin doesn’t put you into a min. level server make the maximum match size 6v6. all min. or max. servers are 6v6, so you will guaranteed to be put there.
33% of the time it’s an empty lobby.
33% of the time it’s the last 60 seconds of the game
33% of the time I get backfilled onto a team of dumbasses.
1% of the time it’s a good match.

Assuming that the quickjoin works (not putting you on an empty server and the like) the server browser still offers more control.
You can see the map, how long the match has started, who are on the server, etc.
Fun fact: due to the relatively small player population, I know most good EU players by name from the game, some of them from the forum as well, including (but not limited to) @Faraleth and @Kirays .
Quickjoin was working fine for me until recently. I haven’t been able to join an EU server for a good couple of days now, even though they’re rarely full and they have by far the lowest ping. Keeps putting me in RUS and USEAST servers, or putting me in an empty server. Anyone else having the same problem?

I am fine with all maps except Chapel which is on my blacklist. I dont remember names of any annoying (too good) players. I will start using it when community servers will be on.
server browser is just too good. i can look for map, a full sw server thats about to finish the round, etc.
plus like people mentioned here, its easy to recognize ‘the names’ and estimate how good the match is gonna be based off a few good players. Smurfs notwithstanding; definitely lots of smurfs cropping up lately though
Two years ago, Quick Join dumped me into an empty Russian server. I live in the middle of America, so I would have had like 300-350 ping.
That was the last time I quick joined.
