Do you think nader ge martyrdom should be changed?

Nader her martyrdom has a way to big blast radius, does to much damage and people are literally spamming it to much.
Imo martyrdom should finish someone off not kill people with full hp.

Spamming it to much as in when they know they’re losing a cqc fight they will instantly drop the grenade when they die.

Here’s the only change I’d make

When Martydom is used, you lose all the nades you had in reserve, so you respawn with 0 nades. And, you have to have at least one nade available when you go down in order to use it.

I’d go even further to say, Nader should drop however many nades she has when she goes down, and they should be Nader nades, not fragger’s.

I think this will add more careful decision making to it, and make things way more interesting. Plus players won’t feel like they’re being cheated as much.

i know how to nerf martyrdom. gib her from range, dont go near her when she is downed, or fake out a melee gib so she blows herself up

Remove Martyrdom, give her an ammo station, and some extra nades on her primary skill or some shit. Martyrdom is just flavor for Nader that gets only scrubs.

would rather they just replace martyrdom with a useful ability even if it didnt do a whole lot, since martyrdom is nearly useless

Nader is one of my main mercs. She has a known ability with a known radius. If you get caught going in for the knife gib multiple times then you need to learn to be more aware of what you are doing.
I have had many deaths where I get gibbed so quick I literally cannot do a martydom as there is a delay on the ability.
I still get caught by it myself sometimes too but its part of the game, I know it, I have a chuckle and joke with the Nader thru chat and get on with killing.

It’s not that bad. At first I was very annoyed by martyrdom due to my reflex-like knife gibbing habit :smiley: But now… I don’t think I’ve died to martyrdom in the past two weeks.

Martyrdom is fine.

When a Nader is up close keep an exit strategy in mind. Don’t be greedy and don’t be stupid.

I vote “nothing needs changed” even though my preferred change isn’t listed. The mechanic itself is fine. Its current execution requires zero skill though.

Yeah its that time of the month again.

just a quick recap.

  • Martyrdom is fine
  • Nader is easily spotted and you can count on her having martyrdom 100% of the time.
  • keep your distance, finish her with bullets, headshots still count.
  • the Radius is small enough for every merc to get out of it if they react quickly
  • No you can’t always avoid Martyrdom but a ability that is 100% avoidable 100% of the time is a useless ability

I think that’s fine considering most of the time the enemy decides its effectiveness. I would rather like a different, more useful ability but that most likely won’t happen as the Grenade Launcher is a good ability by itself and anything more is just extra.

Well, it basically turns Nader into human landmine able to be triggered posthumously by the person itself. I don’t see big difference to Proxy mine example.

It relies more on opponent stupidity rather than skill (some patience and timing perhaps). I think it’s fine in the form that stupidity should be punishable by death in the game.

The old version of Martyrdom that she used to have which you could trigger instantly, did way more damage and had a much bigger AoE filed was ridiculous. But before her Open Beta release Martyrdom was nerfed quite a bit. It had a delay before you could use it, it did less damage and the aoe size was smaller. And if you were gibbed it was canceled. Later they made it where you couldn’t gib her and have it cancel. I think it’s in a fine place right now in being only somewhat useful but you’ll still get kills with it at times…but you won’t be running into a group of people spamming grenades and then suiciding to get 3-5 kills like you did in the old betas.
