Just trying to get a feel for the opinions on how the bullet spread works in this game. Is it too random, is it fine, too good, etc
Do you think bullet spread is ________
on K121…
worst gun in the game… its like playing with RNG simulator on max setting!
even shotgun on medium range is better than this on medium range!
For me it’s the Grandeur, I don’t mind the high bloom but that recovery needs to be much quicker.
I feel like the starting spread of all weapons (bar snipers, shotguns) could be reduced. I feel like instead of spread to differentiate weapons effective distances there would be smaller amounts of spread shared with high vertical recoil, meaning that engagements can’t be lost/ won due to rng making your bullets go exactly where you want them to when firing as often.

This, all this.
In a game where the characters are very fast and can jump on the walls, the least you can expect is that the weapons are more accurate.
Excessive spread and bloom makes the experience disappoint.
Some weapons just feel like laser beams (ahem… Hochfir) but others are just playing the lottery with every shot. Every time I give the Grandeur or K121 a try it’s either a) press the barrel directly into your enemies face (and still miss) or b) rub my rabbit foot and lucky charm and pray to RNJesus that I hit something.
Sure there might be skill involved with all these high recoil and spread guns but once you get used to them guns like the M4A1 or most SMGs are completely unusable for you.
If I want unrealistic bullet spread and unreasonable recoil I’ll play CS.
I dislike spread on sniper rifles. I know it was done to prevent snipers from using these weapons in close range to defend themselves in close combat or at least deal reasonable amount of damage through hip-fire. Specificly spam PDP in hip fire like it is less accurate Grandeur.
Pretty sure it is not rare to see people suggesting to reimplement hip-fire in some sort at least for Moa/Felix.
But yet with current accuracy bullet leaves barrel in such absurd trajectory that new players get confused a lot about a game. That’s especially the case since (probably) 2/3 new players buy Aimee/Vassili as their first merc…
Pretty sure hip fire penalty could be done differently. For example huge and unpredictable recoil with moderate accuracy.

Thats SO true, hitting an average merc is easier with rhemburg than the k-121…
first 5-10bullets of k121 have decent accuracy. After that you either aim down the sides, or let it recover
All seem fine to me
Strong guns spread a lot on sustained fire. Makes sense. Learn to burst fire them
Weak guns maintain a tight spread on sustained fire. Makes sense.
In the end, manually burst firing automatic weapons completely negates the bullet spread issues and it’s a common practice across all FPS games
