Do you still play Dirty Bomb like good old days?

I play much less these days, as all of my m8s who played the game gave up for different reasons.

The gameplay is still very addicting.

I’m playing much less now and moving on to other games. I have good cobalt loadouts in every merc that matters (to me) and at this point there’s not much to grind for: I have 4 ranked season 2 loadouts already, I got all the trinkets from the last event, and there aren’t any mercs worth pursuing a Cobalt for unless I want duplicates or another loadout for my highest played mercs. I’ll still be playing cause the gameplay is great, but until they add more to work towards I’ll be playing far less.

I’ve played from time to time but I have been sitting in backlog hell for a while due to all the games that came out earlier this year and are still coming out. I’ve always been sort of sitting and letting the game reset itself for me. I’ve done that with other games in the past and it lets me keep playing and enjoying without ever truly burning out. When some newer content hits I’ll be putting in legit hours rather than a random 30-60 minutes here and there.

The toxicity of some players, drives me away from some servers… I’ve unlocked all the mercs, and got all the cards I want for the classes I use, tho not all of them are cobalt yet.

Anyways, I still love the game, and I really belive it has tons of potential. For sure, it is the best F2P, non P2W, FPS out there, hands down.

I’ve lost all hope tho, that one day we’ll have again a SA server that is actually located down here, on SA… I know many players who quitted the game due ping issues, after the servers moved away.

As for content, I know SD is doing its best to improve the game. And once they’ve filled all their job positions, things will get some momentum, and it’ll go smoothly from then on.

For now, I’ve shifted for other games, and come back to DB once a week maybe. I’ve become a little burnt, so some time out never hurts.

Namely because I haven’t had much time on my hands to play anything for the past few months. However, when I do, I play for a little bit, then get bored and browse my steam library for something to play.

In the beginning, back in the Q3 and Q4 of 2015, Dirty Bomb was literally the only game I played and enjoyed thoroughly. It felt as though there was more connection to the devs with all the livestreams they had and. CW and WTD were great events. Preseason ranked was pretty cool as well. Back in the end of 2015, my clan and I would play Dirty Bomb for hours on end, then we kinda went our own ways during the release of Overwatch and Paladins. But that was not the main offender. We split because, quite frankly, we got bored.

What happened? I don’t know. I feel Dirty Bomb is lacking in a few ways but I have belief that you can fill those holes in.

I still think DB is the best F2P FPS out there. No contest.

Speaking of Star Wars day…

SD best be doing something, since Galaxy In Turmoil (AKA Not SW Battlefornt 3) is coming soon, and it’s suppose to be 100% free. If I’m not mistaken.

Bugs, gameplay, and balance have suffered since summer squash. Besides wanting the community to grow I personally wouldn’t be bothered by lack of content during that time if the game was working better than when I started playing towards the end of closed beta.

Game is in beta, SD is in charge, why do Thunder tweaks and burst rifle changes take many months to be implemented? Honestly, what is the excuse for this?? The eventual changes to Thunder were basic stat tweaks that could have been thrown into any update over the past year. Hearing about big plans and SD’s hopes for the game mean very little after this long in open beta with little added or improved.

I still enjoy DB immensely the game is just a mess right now and I have trouble recommending it to anyone. A larger player base is exactly what DB needs for competitive modes and matchmaking to thrive. With no community servers or SDK in sight I just hope the game gets to a better place before content is introduced to attract more players.

I guess they use “DEMO” as way to avoid saying “OPEN BETA”?

Not sure if it’s offline bot practice or few maps played online ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Never had that much playtime because of school, but I love the game, and love the foruns. Dirty Bomb is actually my very first PC game, and I just got it last December, so maybe noob’s hope is making me a bit naive. Splash Damage must not let this game die, and we, as a community, have the responsibility to make the gane flourish.

Another game launched a nice event 2.0 now, so playing that one

Wut, I still haven’t got a single one cobalt… but too no sense in grinding those here
