Lmao, this poll is hilarious. Almost selected, “Yes, I don’t care really.”, then caught myself as I noticed the slander afterwards. Hilarious.

The funny thing is the competitive scene is the least likely to give a fuck about a pub hero character. I actually enjoy the challenge of needing to maintain an alert state all the time and not being allowed to miss when I get charged - which I shouldn’t.

I hate to fix it for you but competitive players do pub and participate in 5v5 MM actively. The match making is a great tool for new groups to build chemistry until a phantom or cheater ruins the feel of playing competitive. :wink:

If you can’t handle a Phantom player then you aren’t competitive. Or at least not a good competitive player. My friend and I like to go Aura/Rhino and just dare Phantom players to play with us.

Yep, that’s why we banned him in all competitive events /sarcasm. I’ve yet to hear a competitive player say he isn’t OP. With that being said he’s also not a huge asset to the team since you could probably be more effective using vassili, nader or fragger. The main problem is that he’s extremely powerful for someone that is so incredibly easy to use. Like he’s a “stealth” merc but he’s so powerful most people don’t even bother using him stealthily. They just charge straight at you and hope their shield tanks damage long enough for them to slash you twice.

If they made it so he couldn’t tank as many bullets as a fragger/rhino and made it so he used machine pistols instead of smgs, then people might actually be forced to use him as a stealth merc.

Also, I agree the poll needs some work lol. Just because someone doesn’t think phantom is OP doesn’t mean they’re a casual who doesn’t care.

I love ignorance. He was banned in competitive because all new mercs are banned in competitive for a short time. Sparks is still banned by the way.

EDIT: Also please remember that the poll is not asking about his balance but rather the enjoyment. I think he’s slightly OP, but it doesn’t make the game less fun for me.

Poll is stupid anyways because it doesn’t ask anything about Phantom.
Do you enjoy playing before Phantom joins the game? Whether you hate playing against Phantom or not the answer is always yes as long as you enjoy playing the game. Ignoring everything else that is wrong with the poll, it just doesn’t make any sense in the first place. And on top of that the answers are contradictory to the question. It’s just a mess.
