Do you buy mercs with money or credits?

As the title states.

Credits is just way nicer, doesn’t take too long to grind out 50,000 plus another 17,500 for a loadout, it’s free that way and you can really get a sense of satisfaction when you finally buy the merc with all that hard earned credits.

The first 50k credit merc I bought was really satisfying when you finally get to play as the merc you just saved up for, however paying money does support the game, and I personally think Splash Damage deserves it.

I agree with that completely, and were I to have money to spare I would absolutely support this game as much as possible. One day though… until then I just do what I can to support the community around the forums here, because keeping people friendly and helpful is important too.

I bought almost all the mercs with credits. Now I’m sitting on 63k and I don’t wanna buy anyone else.

(Amerika) #6

I’m sitting on a mountain of credits but I’ll most likely purchase Phoenix because I don’t mind giving money towards a game I enjoy and have spent a significant amount of time with. Also, I refuse to buy Elite cases due to the crazy RNG associated with getting anything you’d actually want combined with a “whale” pricing model. So the only way I can show support is through merc purchases.

(XavienX) #7

I’m cheap.

(Dawnlazy) #8

Credits because I feel like only the bundles would be worth my money, but once I decided I liked the game enough to spend money in it I already had at least 1 from each pack and since there are no refunds I didn’t get any. Would not mind dropping some money on elite cases if they weren’t so stupidly expensive. Maybe include bronze as a possibility but also drop the price?

Beta.

(Merci1ess) #10

First merc I bought with credits was Vassili. Then the first time I’ve spent money on a merc was for Phantom and we all know how that turned out. So… Never again. Credits all the way.

(Random Joe) #11

I mostly buy with credits but i also like the bundles because you also get 2 elite cases.

(Yes) #12

I buy new mercs with money and old ones which I don’t have with credits.

(brennanfreak) #13

I’ll use money for the cosmetic stuff thank you very much.

(Derpfestor) #14

Gonna be buying Phoenix with the creds I saved up! B)

(DirtyMedal) #15

when i buy with credits it feel more good because i worked hard for it, beside i dont have credit card yet

(CCP115) #16

Credits, cos I ain’t got no money.

Now if I was a few years older, then maybe, just maybe. In the game current state tho, it doesn’t really seem that great to spend real money.

But if cosmetics get added in, I’ll definitely start forking out cash.

(aRagRappy) #17

Definitely credits, prices are too high on most of their stuff and I prefer to spend cash on cosmetics in F2P games anyway

(Zerlathon) #18

I intend to purchase single mercs with credits, but I felt that the game was worth some money and the bundles were a reasonable price for what you got.

I’m not a big fan of RNGeesus (as he has never been my friend), so I will not be buying the elite cases unless I have money that I can just throw away.

(MarsRover) #19

I think that just supports current system. I prefer to buy mercs with credits and badger SD to separate loadouts from skins. I’d happily pay 5€ for a skin of my choosing. But 5€ for a random skin with a random loadout for a random merc - hell no.

Mhh… I see we have the greedy in this thread…
