Title.
Do we keep our stats/merc on release?
Isn’t it already released? It’s under MMORPG on Steam, not Early Access.
Have you seen other Early Access games? Pretty sure this is so Dirty Bomb isn’t group up with them.
Hmm, that still seems strange.
Now you have people like me who think it is in full release.
Full release…hah, that’s gonna be a while. Just look at other free to play games like Warframe, look at how long it’s been in Beta. Also Dirty Bomb is still reworking everything, releasing new maps and modes, dunno why people keep worrying about things doing with full release.

Early Access and Open Beta are two different things.
It is very rare that you will make it into an Alpha test. Most of the time, you will get the call for Beta tests. What you have to aware of is that at Beta, the game is pretty much done. During these Beta test, the Devs trying to see if their game is stable (stress test). During these tests, you can always submit bug reports or go directly to the beta forum of the game to submit your issues. Be professional and constructive. If you just bitch about the issue you are getting, it won’t help. Submit your issues in the proposed format and they will probably get fixed.
Early Accesses is somewhat new in the PC market. Steam definition: Get immediate access to games that are being developed with the community’s involvement. These are games that evolve as you play them, as you give feedback, and as the developers update and add content. In my opinion, this is a great avenue to get experience. You will play buggy games. You will be able to provide feedback and help a dev team deliver their title. The price of the early access will vary from project to project. You will also find some high profile games in there such as DayZ and Starbound.
Prior to release, means early access.
I guess I’m confused about what you’re trying to get at.
I should reword that, I understand what you are trying to say… I just disagree
Early access is a funding method (comparable to Kickstarter or similar where you pay for the product beforehand).
Even though the term is often used incorrectly these days for any pre-release game.

wrong. Early Access is exactly what the name implies: Early access to the game. It’s exactly the same as “Alpha”, just renamed differently. It’s not the same as a funding method like Kickstarter or Indiegogo. (at least that is the theory … in reality many abuse it as a funding method, but it should only be for getting feedback early on with the side effect of getting some money earlier)
Consider the shitstorm of resetting everyone again now the game is so big then ask the question again.
In the mean time, nobody answered OP’s question.
The answer is: YES, you keep everything. In the last weeks of closed beta, devs already confirmed this.
From closed to open beta everybody kept what they had too.

A real Alpha or Beta doesn’t require payment to get involved though. Yes, some people can get in that way(usually considered founders), but the primary method is giving out free access keys and then they lose that access upon release and have to actually purchase the game. Focus of Closed/Open Beta is Polish a Game.
Early Access means you are buying the game outright BEFORE full release in order to play it before full release. You will retain access after release because you have purchased the game. Focus of Early Access is Build a Game.
Darling pls.
Early access, alphafunding, or paid-alpha is a funding model in the video game industry by which consumers can pay for a game in the early stages of development and obtain access to playable but unfinished versions of the game, while the developer is able to use those funds to continue work on the game.
Those that pay to participate typically help to debug game, provide feedback and suggestions, and may have access to special materials upon release of the game. The early access approach is a common way to obtain funding for indie games and may also be used along other funding mechanisms including crowdfunding.
If your game has a microtransaction system going on, it’s no longer in beta.
and yet it IS in Beta, funny how wrong some people are
I don’t think blamelessZuchinni meant that as a fact, but rather as an (rather popular) opinion
