Do regular Equipment Cases turn into event Equipment Cases?

Like, if I have a normal equipment case, and then an update which makes the cases special, do my currently owned cases become special too?
For example, if I have a case and don’t open it, and tomorrow an update called “Sloopy Gupy” (random name I thought about now), is released and makes all equipment cases Sloopy Gupy cases with 1% chance to drop a Sloopy Gupy card, will my case I had yesterday also become a Sloopy Gupy case? Or will it stay regular?

Ok thanks for letting me know, I was thinking about keeping all the cases I find and wait for an event so I had to know

As @RyePanda said, they will stay the same. Because updates don’t make cases into other cases, but rather simply add new cases. The only exception in change in this is that non-special cases will contain mercs that weren’t released when you bought/dropped the case.
