Do more mini events

(Mrarauzz) #1

It would be nice to have double credit weekends to break the monotony of waiting for a new merc or a big patch. Maybe do little things like 5% reduced price on tradeups and what not and save the big numbers for really big events? It could incetivize newer players to play and keep vets like me feeling like there is sorta a reason to play.

Maybe do a weekly mission along side with the missions that work for a bigger goal (elite cases, expert cases )and that changes every week? Maybe goals that fulfilled up a % chance on tradeups? I’m sure you guys could have better ideas.

(Dawnlazy) #2

Double credits, “accumulate X hours of play time during the weekend to get an expert case”, stuff like that, just to make people play more.

(Mrarauzz) #3

@Dawnrazor if only we could get rewarded for all the hours we already put in the game :stuck_out_tongue:

(Jostabeere) #4

Because the game itself isn’t enough, right? They should reward us for playing a free game.

(Mrarauzz) #5

@Jostabeere wow, you trigger easily.

(Jostabeere) #6

Yeah, whatever. You just sound like a demanding kid. Ironically or not, your comment isn’t funny and stupid.

Well to be honest I do play another f2p game that does special weekend events and such often since they don’t push new content rapidly.

Not saying it should be often or anything…but it there anything wrong with a event once and a while? Would love some kind of trade in event…maybe reduces the number of cards needed to trade in by 1 or reduces credit cost by a percentage.

It’s nothing wrong with an event here or there. But people demand such stuff with the words: “I don’t directly demand stuff, but would you give me stuff because I play your game?”, like they play it for events, and not the pure gameplay itself.

(Mrarauzz) #9

It wasn’t serious it wasnt a demand jeez… I thought the sticking toungue out emoji would signify that. I know dawn is a high level so am I was just trying to create a hypothetical situation, which would be awesome if that happened, don’t jump to conclusions @Jostabeere

Edit: you edited your reply drastically so I feel like this response doesn’t apply to the last one but still it’s not a demand. I started with " it would be nice" just a suggestion to maybe try to up the play time and maybe attract more people. I already Play and enjoy the game so I wouldn’t mind such things.

Mini Events like Double EXP, or Double Credit Weekends would increase playtime.

Also these events have been used in the past, I don’t see how this is demanding considering these kind of events just are uncommon.

It’s not like other FPS games don’t do this as well cough CoD cough BF cough

True^

What happened to having good old fashioned fun? :’(

But I agree, the game could do with a few more small community events. At the very least it adds variety.

(TheVulpesFox) #13

I like this.
I have seen a few people talk about how to keep the incentive for “veterans” to still play this game. One suggestion I saw was to have badges/trinkets/stickers for lifetime achievements such as “revive X amount of people” or “heal X amount of hp”. That sound like a good idea to me and if we could decorate our guns with maybe 3 trinkets at one time that would mean we could have a special event or limited edition trinket AND a ranked trinket AND an achievement trinket all at the same time.

(Icecoal) #14

Yup , with more rewards for all the grinding people would play more and don’t feel burned out so fast. Happy consumers are more likely to spent some dimes

(Amerika) #15

Yeah, calm down with the overreactions a bit. The post was worded in a way that definitely wasn’t a demand. Just something that would be nice. And I fully agree that it would be nice. A lot of people play during event weekends and promotions and it’s simply good for the game overall to always have something to advertise even if it’s just a 5% decrease on case purchases or something along those lines. Stuff to throw out there to keep people looking at the game. I feel that is a pretty important thing to have for a F2P game.

I rub off on people

@Amerika
There seems to be a pattern of abuse here.

What you said is common phrasing in North America and, for those who are reading and might not know, it means that you might influence people. Some might have thought it was lude post. I know for a fact at least one of the two people do not speak English as their first language who marked your post as Abusive. So I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt that they didn’t know and remove the Abuse flags.

Play nice everyone.

Since it takes a good while to get any new maps to the game, keeping people playing with events that don’t really require any new content made would actually work at least to some extent.

Also people like being rewarded (at least most of us) which would make them to stick around for longer and surprise surprise, portion of the player base spends money (the longer paying player plays = (s)he’ll more likely spend more money in the course of time).

Fix game and matchmaking and they will come.
