DLC sounds great, but still lacks 1 BIG thing...

I gotta say, I’m impressed with the diverse offerings SD have in their upcoming DLC. Maps, Abilities, Attachments and Outfits is a good package for DLC. I hope we can expect more of this down the track.

However, one thing REALLY vexes me that i would have thought would be addressed and added in the upcoming DLC: Lobby.

I know this subject has been covered to the nth degree, but that’s all the more reason why i expected this to come in the first DLC package.

Now, I don’t know how much this affects PC users, it seems there are more fireteam options on there, but us console users are SICK AND TIRED of having to split up and re-invite for each bloody game we play!!

Fix it SD!!

I’m usually in your corner, telling ppl to “be patient” and “surely they will address this”. Well, by the looks of your announcement, this HUGE issue has been overlooked or ignored.

For the love of all things Brinky, tell us: will we EVER see a lobby system on consoles?

It is needed on PC too. We can’t join together either, one of us will join the server, then the rest either have to search for friends and join individually, or wait for the player on the server to send invites. Making a party would be really great, it feels very clunky atm.

Great game, but the server browser and all that could really use some work.

Can I put it this way.

The people who’d be writing the code to put in a feature like a lobby system are the ones working on fixing bugs and stabilising the game.

The DLC being released is (I thought) very obviously content cut from the game and was either totally or 99% ready to go out the gate.

Let them fix the bugs, enjoy your DLC and then hope that they’re still being payrolled by Bethesda to work on adding more features (LOBBY) to the game.

You know, i didn’t really figure on that. (no sarcasm) Makes sense.

However, my strong shout for an answer on the lobby still stands. DLC came second in my issues with the game, underneath lobby. Even lag is easier to deal with than no lobby (for me anyway).

Regardless of what packaging we get it in…or even if we get one at all…can’t we just get shake or a nod from SD on this one?!

Nope, Bethesda (the publisher) won’t allow SD to make comments on future changes without clearance.

I got a vague “stuff is coming” quote out of one of the SD guys on these things though.

I think it is very obvious that SD is committed to a continous effort with patching, balancing and new content. We just have to accept that they can’t talk about it much, and have a bit of patience.

This

It’s weird bethesda gave em discretion on everything but talking about new content.

Yeah, SD sold themselves to the devil with Bethesda  As their previous publisher was Activision however, I’m sympathetic - and it is an improvement  heh

I agree that a lobby is a must-have for console, and would be nice for PC users too. Since it’s a Steam game, you can use the Join Game feature on a friend - but it certainly isn’t foolproof, and doesn’t guarantee a group of friends will all get in together.

Geez, I’m learning a helluva lot tonite!

So, pretty much, all our rants and raves will go unanswered until they get released, or indefinitely ignored…comforting…

Well they’ll be certainly read.

But yes. Keep in mind that Bethesda published (and probably financed the hell out of this game?) this game. They don’t want Splash Damage to just make blind promises and change the game they (Bethesda) partially owns.

Being released?
