DLC Needs New Game Modes MAPS

(SIiced Bread) #1

For the amount of content we got…some of us feel slighted. There should have been a few more things. I can name a few:

Larger, squared (think challenge maps), balanced maps

CTF with ONLY LIGHT OPS and MEDICS
King of the HILL with ONLY HEAVY ENGINEERS and LIGHT OPS
TDM with MEDIUMS SOLDIERS AND MEDICS ONLY (With a limited number of lives/respawns)
SEARCH AND DESTROY with heavy and lights…NO MEDIUMS

What would have been the harm in shipping a MAP EDITOR like HALO and GAME TYPE EDITOR? That would have opened this game up BEYOND belief. No, I am not asking for this game to be Halo, but the features are great if incorporated in this. Don’t give me space or time. Didn’t they say they finished last year and spent the time to POLISH and FIX things? Funny how that seems the opposite to the reaction of the game. They should have spent it doing some of the above things or some sort of concept like it.

This stuff should have been thought of and shipped. All have team aspects.

I know this isn’t all possible. Not even asking for it all to be delivered…but give us something more.

Oh, and it should be free cause this game…in it’s current state…is a $39.99 game at best for console and $29.99 for PC with the amount of story and content included.

Oh Gods, no!

I know, right. Content is so overrated!!!

Death to all us console FPS players!!!

(Cheerio) #4

I can see CTF as one. Or one flag CTF with side objectives. like shortcuts. Definetly need new maps. i get so lost in them. Honestly they just need to be adapted to SMART more. Like the challenge map be objective. That was very smart friendly.

If I want to go back to unwarranted class restrictions I’d go back to TF2 on 360, and if I want TDM and the like there are more than enough games with the mode that it doesn’t need to be pigeonholed into BRINK.

A few new maps would be nice, I dont need anymore modes to be honest. This is fun as heck whats here.

(SIiced Bread) #7

So your all set with 1 game mode on 8 maps? Sweet.

You do know that class restrictions are still in the game, right? Making a primary objective makes ATLEAST one player restricted to that class.

Really online as soon as I see a new objective pop up I see the amount of ppl immediatly switch to that class and rush it

MOAR MAPS!

I don’t care about new modes or storyline but more “what if” scenarios would be nice.

(SIiced Bread) #10

Yep. Restricting you to that class to do the objective. So if a CTF is archetype specific or HQ is class specifc (notice I had 2 choices) is it not the same? There is always a choice in the modes, just not all 4 since that would not be needed for certian type of game modes.

(Cheerio) #11

Class restricting is totally against what this game is about

(needforWeed) #12

I can’t understand those kids theas days. There are tons of games out there. Do you have to buy every game and moan if it’s not the game for you. Go play a game that has all those gamemodes ( I’m sure COD latest games have something for you).

(Necro-) #13

new content doesnt have to be different game modes, i’d be perfectly content with new maps - preferably ones like container city where the light really shines.

(crazyfoolish) #14

Lol, i used to play that. Do you remember the all spy or all engineer 2fort games?:frowning:

To the people saying that 8 maps isn’t enough; tell me when you have mastered them with all the classes

(Gamer2Gamers) #15

it needs maps desperately, I don’t want people to get tired of this game but there is definitely a sore lack of maps for us to use not to mention barely any game modes to dabble around in…

The only case I would make is for TDM, because people actually dare to set up servers where you get kicked if you as much as try to touch an objective. Filtering those out would be nice, especially for the people who desperately want to practice on getting their K/D ratio up.
However, that’s nothing a mod couldn’t fix for the PC version.

It’s not even out here yet (UK) and people are wanting more content already after a few days of play?

(matsy) #18

Bloody crazy! I played ET for 2 years with just six maps! I eventually woke up and played custom maps

(fearlessfox) #19

The thing that I find most humorous about the people’s cry of “moar maps pls” (and this applies to ANY game) is that the majority of people I know, after exploring what a game has to offer, will mostly settle on a few specific maps (sometimes even 1-2) and stick with them for years!

Back when I played comp Halo on the PC, the majority of time was spent between ‘Hang em High’, ‘Rat Race’, and ‘Blood Gulch.’ Nine times out of Ten, clans would pick BG as their favoured map, and the majority of servers ran it for years as their primary.

I’m not saying variety is a bed thing, nor that it should be discouraged, but we gamers do tend to be very specific creatures of habit when it comes to competitive online play.

Didn’t notice this, I still maintain that CTF would have been a great addition for a distraction type of mode, something to dip in and out of between playing campaigns. Hopefully the good folks at Geordie Jeans will be coming up with a CTF and Powerball mod if the tools are announced.
