mister dabis how explain that to you … hum min ! so !
SD make PC games since they make games !
previous release of SD have some polish and have some big community on PC !
the first ever SD community is PC players ! So they just expect a games like the others made for PC
and not a consolised game made for console and port on PC ! that’s all !
they change all the mecanics for console players and just forget pc players

So SD lose a lot of the original Fan base on PC cause pc players expect some pc game
I understand console players are happy they never play a game like this on console !!
but SD class game exist since 10 years B boys ! so stop your fan boy gay pride and be a bit realist ! thx
Good job throwing in the gay fanboy part at the end, makes you sound like quite an accepting, mature person. I wasn’t talking about SD’s other PC titles, I know they have had a decent list of successful PC FPS releases in the past, and I also know that it’s easier to patch PC games, hence more patches. What I was trying to convey in my last post is that despite all the weapons, end-game chat, and other various fixes PC has already received that consoles have yet to, PC players seem to be complaining more than the other console players still.

I guess PC players just expect more out of video games than console players or something, like for example if you check the “would you buy Brink 2?” thread, you will find that a much greater number of people answered no for PC when compared to the other systems.

I’m on the 360, and I can find games with players at all times of the day, and nobody I have pubbed with ever seems to have even a sliver of the hatred shown on these forums towards the game, fellow players, and developers, so at least I know that there is a decent chunk of people eagerly awaiting the DLC release on the 360.
The big ticket items in the console title updates are another round of networking optimisations, a bunch of AI tweaks, and a big bundle of weapon balance tweaks. We’ll be able to share the full changelog when those updates hit.

For the PC, we’ve been looking into a few improvements for competition (also see here) and there’ll be a bunch of other improvements and fixes in the update too. Again, we’ll post the full changelog when we can.
Is that for the bots to play the other bots on consoles? That’s all that’s left playing the game at this point.

It’s not they they expect “more” out of video games, they just expect different things compared to what the majority of console players look for. Things that their previous games delivered and Brink dd not.

The PC crowd was expecting the same type of gameplay that made the ET games so enjoyable. I’m not saying they were all expecting ET3, but they were at least expecting Brink to play like an SD game - fast paced firefights and weapons mechanics (spread, accuracy) that are more based around skill, not dice rolls. The ability to fast and accurately use class actions, not have to “lock on” to players first. Demo recording, an SDK, more than one button for every action, these are things the PC crowd was expecting, and things that (at least in the past) were pretty no-brainer things to add to PC games. The fact that they had weapon tweaks and added in-game chat doesn’t change the fact that there are still so many unresolved issues with the core game.

It’s like if you took your car to a mechanic to get the transmission fixed, and then later when you went to pick it up, you found out it still wasn’t fixed. In response, the mechanic offers to change your oil and rotate your tires for free. This still doesn’t do anything to fix your transmission, which was and is still the underlying problem.
