One problem is, theres no way to know how much acces he has to informations concerning Sd’s current developments(patches, DLC, etc). And even if he’d stated his position in this whole game making machine it would be forgotten in the next thread. So no one knows his actual role in this whole Brink thing.
DLC hits July 30th?
Sorry I don’t buy it. How long has it been in there hands now? Both of them have yet to accept it? Maybe if it had failed and had to resubmitted after fixes were made.
Badman I know you tell us what you are allowed to, but this stinks of corporate BS. This isn’t the first multiplatform game we have played.
I’m not sure if you’re agreeing with me or saying this to me.
But honestly if I was in badman’s place I’d feel bad for a lot of the forum members. But some people I’d want to tell them to go f*** themselves and ban them for being a pain in the ass. And I’m talking about the trolls by the way. I think badman graciously does his job and I admire that.

How exactly are any SD staff supposed to respond to a majority of the posts that are like this? No one asks legitimate questions anymore. I’m just curious.
All he can do is repeat again. “It’s going through the certification process.” And end it like that.
I really don’t even want to have to start on this again, but I will. The 1 shot or burst fire guns will get taken down by SMG spray’n’pray almost every time, never even seen anyone use a Caesar in comp because it was overshadowed by the Ritchie and Sea Eagle, and the game isn’t “skillful” when only 1 gun requires any amount of effort to actually use.

I can tell you what everybody would like to shut up. A good ol’ changelog.
Thats the magic word. CHANGELOG. Screw the release date. If it comes out in the next 15 to 30 days fine. But we need something specific to look forward to.

agreeing
i understand the frustrations of the almost universally reasonable forum members who have expressed their opinion about the game, the deployment, whatever. but that reasonable critique sometimes gets associated with the obnoxiousness of a vocal few, which causes some of these more pointed (but productive) critiques to devolve into hater/fanboy (empty) rhetoric. i feel bad for whomever has to wade through some of this (either just to mod it, or to try and parse out some productive/constructive ideas).
i spend time here b/c i really like the game, and the community that has aggregated around playing it

In the post I had put I was more busting his balls and overall just frustrated at the overall lack on reg info. Some things I am upset about and others more just impatiant as its reminding me of the “PSN being down” scandel in the sense that every “deadline” givin quickly passed with no new info or updates…
Like I said though, having a weekly thread update or blog update just saying what they can and saying a few kind things to show that they care and are doing what they can (assuming they are lol) will ease a lot of peoples minds and shut up a lot of people. Even what he said today is fine for me in most regards, not all I wanted but its something and showing their appreciation for us. If they did it on schedule once a week many people would be sitting around waiting for the newest news update rather then asking for it day after day non stop. And come on Badman I know you guys got some more Screens you can show of the new DLC, that would keep me going a bit longer and get me even more hyped. Just want it SOOOOOOOO bad along with patch!!!

Same.
I come here looking for information and all I can find are complaints. I’m surprised the more enthusiastic players don’t chime in more often with strategies and so forth. But their threads just get buried in negativity when they do actually post.
The big ticket items in the console title updates are another round of networking optimisations, a bunch of AI tweaks, and a big bundle of weapon balance tweaks. We’ll be able to share the full changelog when those updates hit.
For the PC, we’ve been looking into a few improvements for competition (also see here) and there’ll be a bunch of other improvements and fixes in the update too. Again, we’ll post the full changelog when we can.
“The DLC is coming to all three platforms at the same time. We’ve also got some pretty comprehensive game updates in the works for all three versions of Brink - will have more information to share on those in the future.”
Oooh, I wonder what will be new for the PC version?
I meant using the Greeneye scope with them and the game itself is much much more then just the comp scene so it def comes in handy often in pub matches… And the ritchie/caeser are the same exact guns stat wise, caeser is just DLC for pre order so no wonder you dont see it often.
It wasn’t a personal attack, it was a professional inquiry. He has an assigned position within the company, and it was the responsibilities of that position that I was addressing.
And it was a “legitimate” thread. It may not have been “official,” but it was legitimate. I wasn’t trying to disguise it, but I was trying to grab attention, which I believe is the intent of any thread title. One would only need to look at the post author to see it wasn’t “official.”
I also found the title more appropriate, as it really was a question that some might be “afraid” to ask, moreso than general interview fluff.
He did post a response, however, so I’m not going to belabor the point.

Soooooooooooooo true, thats what we have our New Club for now though, we will easy be the most popular and active Club on this site! Actually for the most part already are if you look at all the other clubs. Also be sure like I and many others to keep bumping up the positive threads so that way when people show up they catch them before all the bull crap.

Ok, I’m fine with that. SD is intentionally holding the changelog back till its representativ. I understand that.
But before you’ve(badman) started posting most of us guys here in the forum felt like SD just gives F**k about those who have stayed with Brink.
Just some info on a more or less regular basis would even much of the hatred and bashing in this forum. Even if the info says “We can’t say it right now”. There will be some moaning, but it will die down much sooner than it would with no word.
Actually all I did was spray’n’pray for pub matches and it was easy kills. Everyone tries to play it like a game with great gunplay and try to aim, while all the comp players figured out its “poiint in general direction and profit.” The game isn’t hard, don’t try to make it sound like it is.
Here here +1
I am definitely one of those enthusiastic players that doesn’t say much anymore. It seems there are more BRINK hater-ade guzzlers than there are BRINK enthusiasts.

Sounds like all win-win-win all the way around.
Here are the larger and mostly ignored questions
-
What about the PC stats page?? Any updates?
-
Why is SD and Bethesda so intent on releasing the DLC on all platforms simultaneously, when this was not the case for the stats page? I have to point out, yet again, PC is where BRINK’s competitive community lives. Seems a stats page would go hand-in-hand with supporting the competitive sector.
[QUOTE=pinion120;356629]You can stop waking up and checking the forums everyday, DLC will arrive on July 30th.
