dissapearing HUD, please! and options

Can we get some HUD options? There’s so much going on it robs theplayer of some great visuals in the game, the highlighting the crazy amount of stuff on screen I feel like a robot.

How about making an option for a fading HUD? When you select an item the dpad lights ups then fades out, when you shoot the gun and ammo light up and fade out etc. We really should have had this from the beginning, my favorite thing from your video previews was the HUDless play.

If you can’t do it it’s a shame, but if you say so we won’t ask any more  but you really should think about it it’s a great option to have.

(Sorry so little detail, using my phone.)

Here’s looking forward to the future,

Probably the best HUD-releated suggestion I’ve heard since release. Maybe keep the Minimap and Timers, but everything else could be invisible until used.

I agree with this idea.

Thank you nexo  yeah radar would have to stay unless they figured a way for it not to or gave you another option for it all together.

As far as the timer goes that could be rid of because your leader tells you the time often enough, the secondary timers would have to be there though.

This is part of the failure. The screen is such a cluster F. Why was there not just a small icon above players heads indicating there injured. Apposed to giant healthbars and huge F on every player.

The way the incorperated the new universal ability is awesome, four tiny little icons under the health bar.

Great ideas. If nothing else I’d just like the option to toggle the HUD off and on.

There need to be some options given to the user. I feel as a veteran player I should be able to tweak my HUD and disable things I no longer require.

Hud is too useful to hide even for vets.

I don’t think so, that’s why they’re called “options” though

I actually like the HUD in Brink, design wise. I am a real fan of minimal HUDs though and will always turn off as much as I can get away with.

Would be nice if we could scale the HUD elements and text/info over players. I game on a 30 inch monitor and whilst a lot of the info displayed might be necessary, probably not all of it needs to be quite so big.

As I say though, I do like the design work. Nice and clean.

I’d like a toggle for turning the HUD off just to take some nice clean screenshots. Maybe bind a key to:
-HUD
screenshot
+HUD

That’d be cool.

It’s what I use for getting all the pictures for Brink Wikia.

I also like brinks HUD a lot! That’s why I suggest it fades instead of being turned off.

Bam! Bumped!

The game that had the best HUD options I’ve ever seen was Guild Wars. You could move any HUD object to anywhere on the screen. You could resize them and disable elements as well. I wish more games would implement options like these.

That’s a neat idea, never played it myself but the concept is ound. Its almost like the controller cusomizing for BRINK. Though it was a bit incomplete for me.
