[Discussion] Making all headshot kills remove a players ability to be revived.

This could be a really good, or a really bad idea.

Explanation - A headshot kill with any weapon no matter what it is will remove said persons ability to be revived (just like getting headshotted with a sniper).

What it would do - More of a incentive for to go for headshots, A skilled player could stop a medic train, and add more to the skill level.

I’m concerned about its implications in Pub games but I could see it’s usefulness in competitive and once again add to the skill level.

Downsides - Nerf to all medic classes, and a soft nerf to vasilli. (as a vasilli player this hurts my heart </3)

I don’t know man, first you should probably make it more clear what your idea means, took me a while. Second, medic players wouldn’t be quite happy. Third…idk, usually people include a third.

No. The instagib on sniper headshots already massively ruins the gameflow. This would only slow it down further.

bad idea, sorry removes reason for most medics, especially after level 10, the game is all about headshots

I don’t like Medic Chains as much as the next person…but shit this would basically make it impossible to have any logical reason to play Medic.

One of the main benefits of having a sniper on your team is they’re the only class that can always gib on a headshot. That’s their role. This would be taking that away as well as making life much harder for medics and hurting the flow of the game as others have said. I cannot agree with this, it’s a bad idea.

I’m definitely not for this idea but it at least has enough merit to discuss. The only caveat I would have to make is it would need to be 50% headshot damage + finishing shot as a headshot (so it shows up) and not last hit. Last hit would be too random and wouldn’t make any sense.

Considering at higher levels all kills should be headshots you’re basically saying remove revives.

I imagine for people who have played a bunch already. That isn’t a thing that can really be done anything about though, except by shrinking all the heads on the models into pea size :o

You do know that they are “hit boxes” right? Easily (at least they used to be) resized.

I’m still a noob here…but seems pretty easy to rectify as it was in most of the games I played.

Yaha, but if you would shrink head’s hitbox, of course you should shrink the head too. Maybe wouldn’t matter THAT much for most classes, but sniper would be pretty hard class to play if you’d have to aim for the model’s left eye

I don’t think so, I just think good players have trained to hit them. It’s not like they hit them 100% of the time or anything, just frequently enough that at least 1/4 of all kills would be gibs, if not more.

This would probably make playing Vasilli even more useless, as his big advantage is being able to get picks that cannot be revived. I think if there was some sort of overkill threshold at which kills are auto-gibbed it would work a bit better, but still.

All other games I’ve played had the head at the lowest percentage hit box…not sure why this would be any different.

And no…the head (are you talking about the visual?) would stay the same…why wouldn’t it?

IMO…head is the hardest shot to make…takes real skill to make it at a good percentage.

Just me though…maybe
