Just got a Dickens equipment case from gameplay. Tried to open it, and it stated “Unknown error”. It then gave me a chance to open it again from the Open case screen. I tried it again and the same thing happened. Tried one more time, nothing. Then I hit “cancel” to bring me back to my items and it was gone. TL;DR a case of mine had an error when opening then just vanished so i got nothing out of it.

This is the same problem I just had. But if you close your game and reopen it, the case reappears.

Hello, I’m sorry you are having issues with opening a case, you should of still received the card even though you didn’t see the animation display. Let me know if this issue continues to occur.

I had the same issue now 2 times with the Dickens equipment case. I had it once or twice before with a normal case. To restart the game didn’t help, but I am not sure if a card got added to my loadout.
Maybe I’ll save my cards until this bug is fixed, because with 4 out of 400 cases in total the chance is higher to get an error instead of a gold/cobald

I had 3 cases. One for lvl up, 2 from playing. I tried to open 1, got the error, all cases are gone. makes it now 7/403.
I thought about buying some cases, but I won’t do it as long as this bug is around.

And I lost 2 more cases. Seems that it is more or less 50/50 since the Dickens update if you get an error and lose it or if you can open yourcase.
I will definitely not buy any cases as long as this bug is around.

That’s still an issue for me. I lost 3 cases in the past 2 days again. I have lost now somewhere between 10 and 15 cases. I stoped counting a while ago. And what makes it even worse, the cases/loadout cards a lost completly. I don’t receive any card. There aren’t any new cards in my loadout after I get the error. If I have more than one card and get the error while opening the first one all cases are gone…

I’ve noticed this bug happening to my cases on occasion, but after a while i sorted my inventory by new cards and it seems as though you should still get your cards.

I had a dickens event case ( the one that’s a guaranteed event skin) and it disappeared when the event ended today. I surely hope this is a bug as i would like to have my case back. If this was supposed to happen when the event ended, it should only downgrade to a regular expert case.
