Hey there,

Is there a website hosting this? I would like to get more information regarding this.

Thanks!

(eXy) #3

I will post the link in 1-3 hours. Still have to setup the tournaments configs
And registration configs.

The website used is http://toornament.com
If you search DirtyPros you will find 3 qualifiers, the asian one is not done yet.

(RazielWarmonic) #4

I am all too familiar with that site.

Love to see what you come up with though!

Cheers!

(eXy) #5

Yes but some group functions are not visually “makeable” so i’ll update the process of the brackets

(eXy) #6

Updated prizes.

(eXy) #7

Updated toornaments.

(Litego) #8

Execution, wai?!

(eXy) #9

Because it is still an interesting mode to use in a tournament.
It is mainly based on teamplay and skill.
And that mode is some kind of “don’t make mistake” mode.

RIP Oceania.

Get some good casters and chuck it up on Youtube, and I’ll watch.

I really hope you do well in this, but that format is horrible.
Good luck getting up to 32 teams though for each region, I don’t think there’s that many that would sign up. How are you going to seed these teams that sign up? Randomly? Based on previous cups they’ve played? Eventually if and when a team does go to the final, best of 5? with 2 execution rounds? I’m not sure if you follow the competitive scene much but previous cups trying to bring in execution has proven a big failure and generally people don’t want to play it. Maybe it’s interesting (your words :D) but I could also already tell you who’d be top of the EU and execution isn’t very favourable.
I take it this is 4 separate cups?

(eXy) #12

No, these are 4 qualifiers that will lead to the world tournament.
Yes the slots may not be fully taken but thats why i did groups.
They are gonna be put randomly.
If the tournament isnt full groups will be divided to get enough qualified for the world tournament.

(Faraleth) #13

@eXy the only down-side with Execution is that we over at DBN decided to run an Execution christmas cup to “test the waters”… However only 3 teams signed up, 2 of which were within 48 hours of the thing supposed to commence, which meant it was ultimately cancelled and we stuck with the Stopwatch cup instead. Sadly Execution doesn’t grab the competitive focus right now :frowning:

(eXy) #14

Yeah i’m thinking about removing it :frowning:

(eXy) #15

Removed.

How are you going to manage the timezone issues with all these games?
Will you take into consideration the seeding/ranks of previous cups so that it’s not going to be completely unbalanced from the first games?
Do you currently have servers available or will have them provided for you when hosting these games or are you going to rely on the useless private lobbies?

(eXy) #17

null
The times zone will be managed thats not a problem.
We’ll discuss with the team privately to set a match date.
effectively some matches may be unbalanced and will be kept that way, because the best will have to prove they are better than the others. if we do in function of their skill, some “bad” team would get far in the tournament as they shouldn’t,
but notice that even csgos ESL one gets unbalanced matches.

(eXy) #18

Quote did not work

(Sinfulsebastian) #19

You have absolutely no hope getting 32 team per region, the last tournament DBNation held barely managed to scrape in 16 teams total from all regions. Regardless, best of luck in the attempt.

Well let’s see
