We are running an open cup for the newcomers to Dirty Bomb. This cup is meant to shine a spotlight on newer / emerging teams and players! For this reason we ask that all teams and players who qualified for the top 8 of the DirtyCups.gg Closed Beta Series Finals or any other “super teams” refrain from signing up. Make sure you sign up and PROVE your worth. Show the world who you are in the first ever Dirtycups.gg Proving Grounds!

As part of this cup, we will be testing a new tournament platform. We will now require a Steam64ID for each player. To get a Steam64ID, please follow this guide. If you have any questions or concerns, please use our contact form[url=“http://dirtycups.gg/contact/”] here.

When: 5th of July, 2015
Time: 10:00 PDT / 13:00 EDT / 18:00 BST / 19:00 CEST
Check-In: 9:30 PDT – 10:00 PDT, 18:30-19:00 CEST on Toornament
Format: Stopwatch, 5v5, Single Elimination, 32 Team Limit, RO32 + RO16 = Bo1, Quarter, Semi, and Finals will be Bo3
Prizes: Dirty Bomb Credits

This sounds awesome, glad you are giving newer teams a chance. Too many people I know can’t be arsed to play vs people who prac like 3-5 times a week and put in 140hours every two weeks :wink:

Oh, Also - Just a quick thought. Why don’t experienced players captain players who have never competed in competitive dirtybomb who need a home? I see plenty of threads on here and dc.gg forums with players crying out for a team. I am sure members of pkd and dmon could get on that. I know for a fact @adeto would be game for taking on 4 randoms and helping them learn.

That’s an interesting idea. Seems like a “draft” tournament we could do, that way everything is randomized, team captains could be experience volunteer players, would be fun, but a a hassle to set up. Maybe in the future. O:
