Am I correct in assuming there are only 2 developers working on DB? or is that just a false rumor. Either way, the way things are going… the way I see it, is that the game has great potential but the problem is, every river of update just ends up connecting to the sea of problems both past & present which seem to get lost in oblivion. With the ground & base not being fully cemented, it’s only a matter of time before the tower falls and pieces are already falling.

I agree with your point actually. Like you said, if you’re marketing Dirty Bomb, and are making a solid business over a beta test, it’s nothing different than a normal release.
My quote “open beta means a lot, too” is in context that the impression a game gives in an open beta means a lot to its potential audience.

The semantics of ‘beta’ are irreverent if the problem many have with your game is poor changes, not bugs. The only big difference with F2P games is usually much more marketing with a fully released game.

As far as I know, Splash Damage is the dev team and Nexon is the publisher. I’ve never heard of any affiliate dev team rumor, that would be pretty odd. lol

@Ronan So I completely disagree with your thought process on what Phantom should be and in that I do not want a low skill cap character that can charge through bullets and get easy kills to be in the game and I’m all of a sudden “holier than thou”?? Excuse me for having a different opinion than you as to what that character and this game should be. You can try to vilify me and whomever else you want but in the end your logic simply doesn’t add up. You want an easy route to easy kills and it got removed. Now you’re angry enough to shout from your podium about me and apparently about Nexon.

Instead of debating with me and others logic vs. logic you have instead turned to zealotry and then forged a crusade against Nexon as well as making up things to fit your world view. I never shut you down, told you to stop speaking your mind or anything else. I simply made my case which didn’t align with your world view. Yet you’re accusing me of being a mod as if that has any relevancy here.

I love this community too and that’s why I wanted to see Phantom changed because things did go down hill after he was released. The ironic thing is my proposed changes would have made Phantom more like what he was in the video and I spoke of routes that could be taken to get him there. To make him more of a glass cannon type as opposed to a rush down tank. Yet that didn’t appease you and here we are.

Knowing facts and having a logical and rational discussion > making up things in your head and getting angry over them.

man that stinks, my gaming community has some people in it that play lots of fps games on the regular…i have been sticking soley to non comp matches because of a lot of what is going on in the steam forums…would be nice to have something like this further along, when the game is properly ready to have a comp scene, instead of the joke it is atm

And yet after Phantom’s change… Where does Dirty Bomb stand? The game is in horrible shape. I thought Dirty Bomb’s mercs each had a purpose. Every merc had pros and cons. Every merc should be useful. I asked a mod at some point to give me a good reason why I should play Phantom instead of Fragger. I didn’t get my answer. Polls on the forum prove that Phantom, as he stands now, is underpowered and yet you stand and defend his obvious overnerf. It’s your opinion… and I totally understand and respect that but you have to call a spade a spade. You probably do not play Phantom and I totally understand you! Who would want to play Phantom the way he is right now?
