Two big announcements for you today! First, we’re pleased to announce that we’ve expanded both current and future cups to 32 team slots. Note, Ro32 and Ro16 matches will be played in a Best of 1 format while Ro8 and further will be played in a Best of 3 format. Those teams that were signed up for the waiting lists have been automatically entered into their respective cups. We’ll be working closely with Nexon & Splash Damage during the days leading up to this Sunday as well as during the cup itself to ensure server stability is not an issue. We invite everyone who considered signing up but decided not to due to the cap to sign up now!
In addition to cup expansion, we’ve also added a scrim finder chat. Many community members raised a concern regarding finding practice games in Dirty Bomb. Several solutions were proposed but it seems none of them have been successful. With Dirty Cups quickly becoming the central hub for all things competitive Dirty Bomb, we felt that we could provide a proactive solution to the issue. On the top navigation bar of our website you’ll be able to find the Scrim Finder. This integrated chat will allow users, registered or unregistered, to actively seek and easily set up Dirty Bomb practice matches. In addition to being a real-time chat system, our scrim finder chat saves a brief history of messages. Meaning, if you load the chat after a scrim request has been posted, you need not worry because you’ll still be able to see the message. In addition to being available on the navigation bar, the chat will float on all the pages in the bottom left corner for easy access. During Sunday cups, the chat will be used by staff members to communicate with teams. We feel this is a much better option than Mumble.
