Ability- Dirty bomb (conventional explosives mixed with radioactive material) this would do area splash damage and give enemies radioactive poision doing minor damage of over time damage. Radioactive posion will kill mercs already downed before bomb and ones that died because of explosion. It would have a bigger blast radious than artys artillery strike and slow cool down. The explosives are supposes to be the main killer, not the radioactive poision. When actially used the radioactive was meant to be a side affect not causing instant death.

Since Dirty Dan has to run and plant these bombs he would have to be on the fast si de of mercs probaly equiped with sub machine guns and shotguns. I think there should be a way for him to start a 10 second bomb count down and have the option to detinate by a trigger

Who would shoot one of these when they come across it? Hopefully no one… maybe this would be something that has to be dearmed because after all it is a bomb. I dont see the bomb squad trying to shoot at every bomb they see.

No one would ever see a fool running through the battlefields with a dirty bomb trying to toss it. This would be a strategic abilite… he would have a small amount of planting time.

Possibly a second abilitie… kindov like pheonix healing pulse but instead it would show deployables in the area. Same symbol when a merc is spotted but different color… after spending so much time with bombs, dirty dan knows one when he sees one

I think it would be cool to see a merc that has an ability that is part of the games name and the dirty bomb is a real thing :slight_smile:

I would possibly say get rid of bomb spot ability and make him an engineer, but i feel like he would be to similar to other engineers and we already have turtle coming this update or the next time so idk if anyone would want more engineers

Interesting idea, wrong section though bud. @Faraleth @Amerika

Maybe instead of it doing loads of explosive damage because there are already mercs in the game who do that it could be more focused on the radioactive element of the ability. Kinda like redeye’s smoke but a radiation cloud like from Fallout New Vegas: Dead Money.

small damage over extended period of time? could be an something that would be a hard counter to heal-over-time medics as it would constantly reset the healing because of the damage being inflicted. To be clear it wouldn’t drain your health (1 or 2 hp every 2 seconds perhaps for maybe 30seconds?). This character would deal a significant blow to medics in general.

for such a strong ability the character would have to be weakened somewhat. maybe give him/ her 90hp? but a good speed, slightly less than proxy? And for weapons the Hochfir, Blish, and hollunds or remburg maybe…

hmm. nice idea.

Yea i like your idea… i guess explosives are overdone atm. Any thoughts on the bomb find ability and the way planting and stopping bomb work?

So the ability is basically a c4 charge that does DoT?

I’ve talked about damage over time before in dirty bomb… Probably should go find those posts. - the spotting ability for deployables doesn’t really counter anyone but proxy/bushwacker… maybe aura. Also, we have bomb squad for that.
