One match per round gets streamed, it is impossible to stream every match in every round as this would last around 10 hours of gameplay and nobody is prepared to wait an entire day just so every match can be streamed.
A double elimination bracket can work with a Ro16/Ro8 if it is done efficiently which it can do. Ro32 DE is a bit tricky though, maybe if we end up splitting EU and NA then you would be able to do Double Elimination or if there just aren’t many teams that sign up.

Eliminates the purpose of a cup.
With no incentives, people won’t clear two+ days out of their week for a Dirty Bomb tournament. I personally think it’s a bit silly to request that of players, especially in all these different time zones.
Multiple day tournaments are very unconventional and a hassle. The only way to tackle this at the moment is if we had all the teams sign up and give them a week to contact other teams to play, and everyone plays on their own time. As you can imagine, this would be a huge mess.
A single elimination Bo3 cup is the way to go for now. Trust me, I want to be able to cover every match, have every team play more than once, but the fact of the matter is that although not impossible it’s impracticable in a Global setting.
Things can change when we get enough teams for both NA and EU to have their own cups separately. A DE bracket would be more practical in the future when NA and EU get split. It’s just a tricky slope at the moment as we can’t really extend the time of the cup any longer then it needs to go at the moment, we’re pushing the limits really.
It’s different if we had EU start at like 2pm, because a 5+ hour tournament, while long, isn’t as big as an issue as them starting now and going into the next day.
