Introduction:
[spoiler]I was listening to the stream www.twitch.tv/bitey, (Feel free to stop by and say Hi to BiteyBot). Bitey and Petire were discussing the efficiency of the Multibow in particular. I decided I would make a comprehensive chart so that we can actually reference some hard numbers rather than appeal to intuition or experiences.
I have shown the chart to some people, and some of them were a bit confused or sceptical about the numbers. So I made a post in an attempt to:

  • Adequately explain my methodology.
  • Allow you guys to help me find any potential errors.
  • Convince you that my numbers are correct.
  • Provide this information to anyone who might find it useful.
  • Just sharing a fun little math exercise with whomever might appreciate it.

This paper is an adaptation of the nosgoth spreadsheet wrt dirty bomb.[/spoiler]

In short; this spreadsheet doesn’t just display the raw stats like damage and firerates of each gun in dirtybomb, it also calculates time-to-kill, amount of bullets, time spent reloading and more. Play around with the configurations.

Keep in mind: Your accuracies with each gun are likely not the same, as they all have different spreads and recoil, that’s why when comparing weapons you can adjust each individual weapons accuracy.

Many people when comparing weapons, simply start off by calculating the damage per second (DPS) of the weapons. I’d just like to start off by saying that for most purposes this is a good approximation. By no means am I saying that it is necessary to take the math any further than that. But for the sake of the exercise we will in this paper - and some of you may or may not find some of the findings interesting or surprising.

Sweet job indeed. I suppose you did not get the time or did not have the right loadouts to get all the weapons tested (two snipers missing and couple of others…). I’d be glad to help if you need a hand.
Did you notice any damage drop-off ? Sometimes the game just feels like it, especially with sniper body hits over long distances.
I’m also surprised with the shotty results. The Remburgh is not that powerful in my hands… :smiley:

Yes there is damage falloff h but right now im not gonna bother getting that info when the game is almost certainly getting changed when it gets back online, also the game is offline:S
I’m gonna get those stats after the game comes back online.

Also im not sure why you say there is 2 snipers missing, afaik there are only 3 snipers in the game ( the PDP70, MOASNPR1 and FEL-IX), unless you count redeyes default as a sniper but that is listed under assault right now and i cant get the stats for the FEL-IX(game is down) so thats why its not on the list, the same applies for the Blishlok and the minigun.

The remburgh 7 has really high potential damage but its really hard to hit all 11 pellets in the head if you’re not right in the mercs face.

There is a drop down menu above every stat category. However, the Stats sheet is locked to prevent any tampering with.
You should be able to copy the sheet (File > Make a copy…) where you will have permission to edit anything you like or sort the stats ascending/descending if you please.

The Tolen MP seems missing in the weapon category : secondary tab.

The grey painted weapons are weapons that we haven’t figured out the stats of yet. If you do happen to have these stats, or you find an error in any of the other weapons, right click and insert comment in the cells and we will fill it in.

How exactly is damage calculated???

I was wondering if I could get a detailed chart for the M4 for example. To see how fall off works, and if there’s different modifiers for limb damage. Like obviously headshots do 2x damage, but what about limbs? Like the legs and arms?

play with graundier and you will get annoyed when stoker needs 4 hits to die, soo there definitely is, but i would love to have exact numbers
