Very pleased with the update personally. Guns seems a lot better, I’m still getting spanked of course but it feels like my gun is actually firing bullets now rather than marshmallows.

Like the new Arti strike, could probably do with some kind of incoming sound or better visual effect just before it hits, you know when it’s going off but not when it’s about to (i.e. hard to get out of the way).

Like a lot of people I’m suffering a performance drop, from 90+ to 70+ FPS, which is quite a bit in percentage terms, I can imagine people who were already struggling are going to have big problems now.

Some minor changes here and there on maps to relieve some choke points, which is nice.

All in all a very positive step IMO.

Just tried the patch for the first time. My frames have dropped from an average of 90 to about 10-25. The frames are amber until I move then they become red. (5-10 at best)

Anyone having this issue?

I like it. Tracers everywhere look neat and the medic feels a bit more reigned in. With each patch DB gets better and better :slight_smile:

A positive patch except for the performance drop, as mentioned by many. Previously I was mostly 90 fps where it was capped, but now it’s around 70-80. And some sort of stuttering, or rapid fps changing

sorry but i want to be honest!

im a bit disappointed

nice that u reduced the spread and also nice that there are some changes @ the maps BUT!

lower performance (i dont care, still got 120fps but others have around 20)

you didnt patch the knife, its still op!

im not feeling a lot of love for this patch.
im having a few issues. will post in relevant threads.
like, shooting some turrets has no effect what so ever also reclaiming injured turrets not working all the time. artillery is too fast and maybe too small an area. lots of disconnections. spawning in weirder locations than before, graphic errors.
Has the player speed gone up. it feels like it. feels too much.
my fps same at around 30fps performance fine. after i had to re-do my settings again. :mad:

on the bright side the bushes look nice. :smiley:

hopefully we can get a game going on camden tonight looks interesting. i like the [Censored] and the [Censored] at the end.:wink:

I was up on that catwalk and did see your upper torso and head. Might be bit of lag, but today i saw lots of cases where the deathghosts were in weird positions.

Quick first impression:

No performance drop here, runs pretty well.
Guns feels better - still dies a lot but that’s un-fixable (needs brain patch).
Still got server timeout once, on first map load. Wonder if it’s because I got HDD and not SDD, as it takes a while to load?
Also got a “load new map” crash just now (exit code 3), haven’t had those for a while - it’s been stable all of February.
Grenade bounce much better, tnx - easier to hit the EV and stuff now :slight_smile:
Turrets seams a bit weak, and very easy to kill them. Sometimes they explode - huh.
Turrets also switch team when player change team - funny enough I got a team kill penalty for that :tongue:
Arty probably a tad too powerful, and miss some kind of marker/warning.
I don’t like the arty targeting tool - quite often you get “invalid location” while targeting and it resets, especially in leveled roads. Can’t it just be a throw-able marker just like for airstrikes.
New ammo system seems to work okay so far, but too early to say for sure.
Bonus points for showing the number of players pr. class when in limbo :slight_smile:

All in all, nice improvements in most areas! :smiley:

cheers Murka. From my point of view i was shot when the EV was in front of me. Where was it from yours, as it moved on just after i was shot.
yesterday on old version i threw a nade and when it was 10 feet away , I exploded. Hmm! was on us server so put it down to that.

I got (as many others), 20 FPS drop, went from 90 to 70/80 but all in all I’m warping a tad less than before. Potty did you recheck and lowered all your gfx? I got mine back as default and had 20 FPS max before I reset the screen resolution and lowered all the gfx, now game feel like previous patch, well even better but still not as smooth as the pre-previous version.

  • Reduced spread seems ok, I just dont like my screen bobbing and getting red, harder to concentrate while shoot at, but thats allways been my problem
  • We really need dot Xhair or just a tad of customisation at this point, it might not be a super concern right now but with people being able to play the game like they feel the best for them, you’ll have more accurate feedbacks
  • Arti need to be more marked, as for now it is silenced arti and you dont know when it comes down, I like the radius and damage tho, it’s not too spammy and convinced me in these little maps. The cooldown bar should be shared at a point with other fops, because 6 fops playing arti can be a tad more abused :wink:
  • I liked the change on Whitechapel first phase in attack, second phase still need improvement, chapel need to be bigger or obj can be behind chapel in a cemetery or whatever, ideas are there in a specific thread. Third phase need a total rework of the objectives, lift should be faster and the spawn of defender should be moved, or more sideways for them, once the attacker got the two entrances (archs) the defenders are basically spawncamped to death, last phase need a total rework IMO, The area need to be bigger, with one or two chokepoints and the objective need to be thought again (why not a proper phase with 1) hack a door and 2) deliver the objective).
  • Knife is still powerfull but I feel it needs more sneakity sneak or really getting someone off guard to work properly, you cant just run and knife mindlessly and kill everyone as before. Well I still got two 5 killstreaks in a row with it tonight, but it was because I took the time to go around a whole defense and they were all grouped together, going all rambo knife on someone who is facing you = imminent death.
  • I still could go with a faster pace and bullet a tad more dangerous at long distances (and 3 hs to kill if it isnt allready, didnt count tonight, I score too much of them…)
  • I’ll do a proper “impression” thread with all the things I have in mind soon, get ready for a wall of text, I’ll give you that in .pdf for obvious reading comfort :slight_smile:

My first impressions after playing today:

  • preformances drop to 83 fps
  • spread is much better now, now you are able to kill even 3 people in a row
  • fops weapon recoil too high
  • rof in general still too high
  • turrets completely useless now :frowning:
  • too much arty spam on pub
  • grenades are much better now

Out of all the arty spam, i think it worked better as a distraction as i never got killed by any of those.

Edit: Ignore me 83 is the new 90, need to reapply FPS unlock and try again.

new patch didn’t descrease performance, it just deleted all your configs. So redo everything to what it was before and you should be able to run it with same fps.
