Dirty Bomb Update - Disk Write Error

(Melinder) #1

With the most recent update (19th/20th of April), I have been unable to update due to the above error. This has never happened before with any game. I scanned my hard drive for errors, however none were found. Am I the only person to have received this error?

I understand that this likely belongs in the bug sub-forum. But i’m sure it would not get seen there by many. Feel free to move it there if you must.

That is a Steam error, NOT a Dirty Bomb error.

That thing that has worked for me 100% in the past is a full redownload of the game (it has never happened with DB). Verifying your local files might work, but I have had mixed results with that.
One more thing. Do you in fact have enough free space for the update?

Run check disk just make sure your not having any drive issues. It’s possible that the reinstall wrote to other sectors on disk that were good. It’s most likely just a glitch but it won’t hurt to run it
